Information

Minami shrimp can be found across Japan in rivers and streams. It is popularly belived that Minami shrimp are the 'wild form' of Red Cherry Shrimp, this is not true. While both are Neocaridina's, they are different subspecies.

Minami shrimp dont display the same vivid colors as many of the other dwarf shrimp but in well planted tanks they do have their own beauty. They are very easy to keep and probably the best starter shrimp you could go with. Minami's will readily breed for you with little effort on your part beyond maintaining water conditions.
