  • Food: Flake Food, Algae. Ours are currently feeding on the algae in their tank and supplimented with Hikari Crab Bites and Spirulina powder. We also feed them frozen bloodworms once a month.

  • Water Parameters: Red Cherry shrimp can live under conditions that are soft and slightly acidic (ph 6.6-7.0) to very hard and alkaline (ph 7.0-8.4 and above)

 

  • Larval Development: High Form. Baby Red Cherry Shrimp are minature versions of the adults, no special requirements for them to reach maturity,

Probably the most well recognized freshwater aquarium shrimp. Cherry Red shrimp do not occur anywhere in nature. Cherry Red shrimp are a color morph of the Taiwanese Pale Blue shrimp. The color lines are stable and Cherry Red shrimp are a mainstay in the United States. Easy to care for, these shrimp will readily breed for you. An excellent shrimp and one that we highly recommend for those new to keeping shrimp.
