  • Food: Flake Food, Algae. Ours are currently feeding on the algae in their tank and supplimented with Hikari Crab Bites and Spirulina powder. We also feed them frozen bloodworms once a week.

  • Water Parameters: Tiger shrimp thrive under conditions that are soft and slightly acidic (ph 6.6-7.0)

 

  • Larval Development: High Form. Young Tiger shrimp are minature versions of the adults, no special requirements for them to reach maturity.

 
Information 

 
One of the most popular freshwater aquarium shrimp worldwide. Tiger shrimp are beautiful, active shrimp that will make their presence known in your tank.  Tiger shrimp are not shy, if you provide them with some hiding places, thy will spend the majority of their time grazing on the tank floor or wandering through your plants. Their stripe pattern is very distinct and they are definately an eye catcher. Selective breeding has led to several different variations of Tiger Shrimp being to make an appearance such as the Blue Tiger or Red striped Tiger.
