Aquarium nuts for many years, we finally took the saying 'Do something you love' and ran with it. We have always been interested in 'oddball' or different freshwater aquarium animals which led to our love of freshwater shrimp.
 
Here at The Shrimp Spot we want to share our passion and excitement with you by offering quality healthy invertebrates for the home aquarium. Our goal is to bring both entry level and rare freshwater shrimp to hobbyist across the United States.
 
Company history
 
Originally founded in 2007 as 'East Coast Shrimp' our goal was to supply freshwater shrimp to wholesalers and retail locations.  We are breeders as well as importers. After two successful years in the wholesale market, our desire to spread the hobby at the 'grass roots' level has led to the creation of 'The Shrimp Spot'. Our direct to the consumer website.
 
Our goal is to bring both entry level and rare freshwater shrimp to hobbyist in the United States
 
We are family owned and operated. Our facilities are based out of Sharon, Pennsylvania. We offer several species of freshwater shrimp for sale currently and are working with many others in the hopes of making them affordable and available to you, the home hobbyist.
