Sounds like fair prices. I'll have to check with you later in the year. I usually don't mind gambling on shrimp, but this year has been slim on the breeding, so haven't even met maintaining costs yet.

Discus are more addicting then shrimp lol. The fun part is that they get 8 inches big, and have a personality. They will literally rub against my hand and let me "pet" them when I put my hand in when they want fed. They also notice if someone else is in the room and will be shy if it not myself or my wife at the tank. They are really cool to watch, so yea we get obsessed lol. The reason I got into shrimp was so that I didnt buy anymore discus lol because the tanks they need are more work and large. Wanted to downsize lol but just added more small tanks.

Prices will depend on how the next couple of weeks go for losses but I am thinking ~$8-10/ea for the Cardinals and probably ~$12-15/ea for the other two species. Cardinals seem to be going for around $11-14/each on aquabid (for tank bred) and I haven't seen anyone selling the other two species anywhere (wc or tank bred) so I have no idea what a market price would be on them. I may put a few auctions on aquabid and see how they do to get an idea of what people are willing to pay.
Thoughts?

You also could leave the valves on the tanks open, and have one valve per row of tanks, then you open that and all the tanks get drained. You just need to talk to Han and have him make you custome intake guards with fine mesh

Ctaylor,
Ah the discus people are like a cult lol . There is a guy in the area who went decades ago with Jack Wattley who lives here in Florida to collect discus in the Amazon . He has a couple of Wattley discus strains reddish but not sure of the name.
I gave him some cory sterbai not long ago from my pond as had to many .

I love having lots of plants- the critters are happy with all the hiding places and I always see new things everytime I look at it.

Promised I would post the site that I found that carried the large sheets of the open cell foam. They are very decently priced and a full sheet shipped is around 53$ depending on the thickness your looking for. Here is the link I am going to try it out and make some HMF filters for a few 10g tanks. Cheaper than some of the other poret stuff that I have seen around. What do you guys think?

I personally would move the mop to a bare bottom tank 5 to 10 gallons if you need any tanks let me know I have a couple empty 20 longs and a 2.5 you could barrow.

Congratulations!! I bet they're adorable... or will be once they're bigger than specks.
They're obviously happy enough about where they're living to get busy, so something's going right!
(My Otos and shrimp are 72-74*F as well)

ctaylor3737 got a reaction from Louie in Killi Fish
I have gotten my first Killifish Recently and I am having fun watching them swim around the tank. Been doing some research on them and everyone says to use a breeding mop to get them to lay thier eggs in. Does anyone have any suggestions for this as to what is the best one to use? And if anyone has any tips on the right setup to hatch the eggs in would be awesome to. Figured this would be a good place to chat about them!

I'm Starting to look into lighting options that might be cheaper then a fugeray (If you have a 24" used, I will buy it). These are some options I have thought of.
- Actually I promise I am not coping ctaylor, I have a one of these in my 6 gallon triangle to get like in the far corner. It is commonly fully submerged and does just fine.

- I would actually have to go through these and see if they would in fact be cheaper
