I am very excited to announce my first ever 100% Organic, Made & Grown in the U.S.A Snowflake Shrimp food we are calling "Upstate Blizzard" as it is grown and harvested in the snowbelt of central New York. I have been testing this product and my shrimp seem to love it more than others that I have tried.
 
I wasn't expecting it to move as quickly as it did which is why I overlapped selling some of the other snowflake that I had already. Yea got alot of wierd looks, they said it wasn't unusual because they make mixtures for koi fish. He was just stuck on shrimp are food lol. I showed him pictures and he was amazed at them lol. Got my pictures done will be announcing today!!!

My friend is coming with an awesome camera to shoot my new shrimp food in action and to highlight all the changes in my room.
Lots of exciting things coming as I am getting more back into shrimps. I used to be one of the top posters here at one time with Soothing. I have been around since there was 3 members lol.

Thanks for the great info, I planted most of mine on a large piece of driftwood. And I got these for a good deal from a friend.

I have very little experience with plants. I didn't understand half of what you wrote.

Hey Chris, is this non-gmo? I know almost all of the soy in the US is now gmo and I would jump on organic!

That's true, it's hard to be passionate about something when your own family doesn't support you fully. When I first started having alot of tanks in my fish room it was hard even showing people it. You have so much energy and love for your tanks that it hurts when people judge you about it or act like there is something wrong with you. But I've learned those are the people that aren't really your friends and you need new ones. Some people are amazed though got a few friends into fish just from showing them my room.

Not putting down SL-AQUA but all the snowflake food is the same, it's all made from the same plants. I have used a number of brands and all have the same results. Usually just price difference is all I have seen.Keep your eyes open tomorrow, I am about to launch my own U.S grown, packaged Snowflake...more too come but you can expect heavy bags at a great price.
It took me a long time to find a local farm willing to create it for me. I am very excited about it.

We're all equally jealous of you as your partner is into it as much as you are. Mine likes the shrimp bit isn't into it at all other than when I drag her down to check out the babies. She is great though, never tells me not to get another tank. Likes that it keeps me happy and my son has taken a liking to them all now.

Was testing the waters and seeing how much interest there was. I am bringing again my snowflake shrimp food. As you all know it is the same that's on the market now. I sell 60g bags compared to everyone's 30g bag.
Price will be 6.50 a bag to start 2.50 shipping. , 3+bags will get free shipping and cheaper rate at 5 bags.
What does everyone think?

Best way to grow it is to attach it to something hard, such as driftwood or rock Leave the rhizome above the soil as you would with anubias and try to leave the roots to touch the substrate.  I hear it grows best in this method and the roots going down into Aquasoil.  My buce's seem to prefer high flow and will have better chances against algae.  If grown emersed, the colors won't be as nice and you won't get as much iridescent spots on the leaves but it will grow and you won't get algae problems.  But grown submerged is how you get the colors to come out most.  Only problem is, like with other slow growers such as anubias and java ferns, buces are easily susceptible to algae.  Also, when first introducing these plants to your tank, you may get some melt.  Its not uncommon for me to lose 40-50% of the leaves from my buce's but they always seem to grow back as long as the rhizome is in tact and healthy.  Although based on my observation, the larger clumps that I put in seem to fare better than the individual rhizomes with 5-6 leaves.  Could just be a coincidence.  But overall, this is fast becoming my favorite plant because of its undemanding nature, unique varieties, and intense coloration.  It really reminds me of reef keeping, collecting different coral frags, and propagating.  
 
Here are a few pics. I glued some of the smaller leaf ones onto my bonsai driftwood tree but I'm still waiting for the rest of my Buce's come in before I can finish this tree off.                        

Better shots of the buces, cloudy I added more substrate before I planted. These are all freshly planted, will get more adjusted and better scape layout when they grow in.
I have a few different kinds, have to look lol got them written down in the fish room. I really like them though, only got small ones to start wasn't sure what I would like got 6 or so different ones.
