  1. These are incredibly difficult to find! Still no luck...
  2. When I hear beta I assume you were keeping it in a small tank. The issue with bamboo shrimps is that they are filter feeders. They get all of their food from the water column. So you want to have a larger tank and very good water flow. They need to have places to sit and just filter feed, ideally directly in the outflow of your filter(s). I don't believe I've heard of anyone breeding them before, I'd assume their young require brackish water like with many shrimps. Pre-made food would be ok if it is in a powdered form. They wont be able to eat it otherwise. I've owned them before and they only lasted a few months. I don't think I had enough water flow for them; so learn from my mistake haha.
  3. Looking to purchase 20-30 Snowball shrimps if anyone has any available or knows where I can currently get some. Joe's Aqua is currently out of service so I am looking for someone else... :/
  4. Wanting to buy 10 or more shrimp. Any amount will do honestly. Just need to get my colony kickstarted again. PM me please if you have any or know someone who does!
  5. I am also looking for some, let me know if you have any luck. I'll do the same. (:
  6. I'm sure using peat in some form would be a safe way to lower the pH a bit more if you need to. You could also add some Indian Almond Leaves. I'd avoid CO2 as it would surely only complicate things and possibly mess with the stability of your water parameters. Nothing has made shrimp keeping easier for me than investing in an RO/DI unit and re-mineralizer as ColForbin mentioned.
  7. I'll take the final one if you still have it. I enjoyed the last one very much!
  8. I had bought some on eBay a couple years ago. I've seen them sold as Paracardinia however rather than Caridina. That may or may not help your search haha.
  9. I am also interested. Please let me know if you find any! I'd be interested in any Sulawesi shrimp aside from Malawas also.
  10. I am over in st. Pete. How large/established is your Blue Bolt colony?

  11. I have a 110 gallon set up with countless Malawas in it. They're one of my favorite shrimps as well! No other shrimp is half as active as they are.
