Soothing said they have a craving for protien so they eat babies shrimps, I believe this to be true because I had scuds in my tiger tank and only one babies was left before I found out and put him in a scud free tank. Your best bet is to net them I constantly went to the tank looking for them they come out a lot during feeding and I usually see them when I turn the lights on trying to get away. They hide in rocks and if they get away I crush the rocks they go into kinda like squishing snails.

I'd imagine they watch them the whole time then once the act is over they just remove them back into separate tanks. While we're on the subject of crays here's a marble cray I got from^soothing. So I have 4 cpos now as well got one at a lps on v day. I have 7 alleni and 1 marble and that's it for my crays. I'll update once I build a cray rack. Currently all of my alleni are in my living room but they are going in my fish room when it's done.

I tend to have a lot going on when it comes to shrimp, fish, and other aquadic ventures. I'd like to share my story from my struggles to my achievements. I've always had pets growing up of those included many fish tanks, but this is a shrimp forum so that's where I'm going to start. It all starred with just a ten gallon red cherry shrimp tank. I started with ten red cherrys I got from a lps. At first I was really happy but the more my shrimp grew up the less color they had and I was just not pleased, the clear ones I fed to my oscars because I swore they were ghost shrimp at the time. Needless to say I spent some more money and got 20 high grade red cherrys and that's when the madness Started. My tank quickly turned into a mad house of over populated red cherrys of all grades this drove me nuts.
so I went got me two more tanks and started culling shrimp into different grades. Eventually I ended up with one high grade tank and one low grade tank and threw the low grade tank into my lilly pond out back. I now have two red cherry only tanks. A 10 gallon and a 55 gallon. I have 46 fish tanks that's just two I'll do a new segment every few days giving room for questions and suggestions if you know something I have and would like to see it let me know because I might be saving that for last. Also please I'd like to hear all suggestions and criticism please.

Heres my snapping turtle set up. The three ponds are separate I use no filters because she likes to be able to hide in the mucky water. I feed her gold fish in a bucket sometimes just to watch her eat. She rips the heads off the fish, then eats the body, and then saves the head for last she quite vicious yet I can still touch her nose with out her biteing me.

My duck weed grows so fast I fill up gallon bags of it every week and feed it to my koi fish. I use my fingers to get it so I don't catch baby shrimp in the act

So I thought something died in my fish room. I cleaned everything out wiped down all the tanks, mopped the floors, and still had this horible smell coming from my room. I narrowed it down to my ada tank. I put some towels down over the tank to reduce the smell in the room. What else can I do to reduce the smell? I was going to set up a 55g with 3 bags if ada but not if it's going to smell like this.

Heres my blue ram tank, it's currently on my 20g rack, but I plan to make all 10 of those tanks a different neo tank once my fish room is finished.

Here's some of my chocolate from soothing as well. Also their is plans to add 4 more shrimp to my list this week if I can find someone with all the shrimp I want might have to wait till next week though. Going to start a new stand soon.

My soil came today! How long do I have to cycle till I can put plants in there?

Oh I know that it's just theres only teN in there right now it's kinda empty that's all, by doing anything I ment feeding and water changes.

I think with the control soil it will be hard to fight hard to say how much crushed coral you would need to fix it

From the very beginning the members here have worked to make this forum a friendly and welcoming place.  A place where over moderation is not an issue because we rely on policing ourselves, and offer knowledge freely to further the shrimping hobby for both newbies and advanced shrimpers.
 
With close to 40,000 posts now and 670+ members from a year after starting, I consider this site to be an example of what true shrimpers can do together in a friendly atmosphere.  Anyone can have a forum.  It takes teamwork to feel like family!

Here's my peninsula newt tank, this is also where I keep my wild neos. The one on my hand was my first baby. I have 13 newts in this 20 gallon long next to my syren tank.
