I got rid of cable and dont miss it at all. Instead I have my fish tanks. Watching each one like it's a TV channel. We I get bored I just simply move onto the next channel I mean tank. Every time I get a new tank I feel like I just upgraded my services and now have even more channels. I can't wait till I have the Netflix of tank set ups.

What's the avg cost of red nosed?  Heck, I'll keep some in each tank if it solves my hair algae problems.

I threw banana leafs into my yellow tank and they start to take off.

No not water dogs. Axolotls always stay in the larvae stage water dogs eventually grown into salamanders.

I usually throw plants in once they have hatched

Also the baby shrimp eat the snail slime

am too new to give advice, so just chiming in... My neo tank is 7.6 ph even with wood, IAL and a ton of plants but the neos are doing great. My substrate is floramax (cheap enough but good for the plants - so I have been lead to believe to separate me and my money ) and I have some decorative black gravel sprinkled on top, just because.
 
And FYI - about the '2 is enough tanks' I will warn you, soon every spare 'spot', every nook and cranny ... will suddenly seem like the perfect place for a nano tank  

I have them gastropods and scuds in every tank I out my horn wort in they cling to it I got them from a local river threw the hornwort in the tank and saw them I enjoy seeing them my girl friend freaked one day when she saw one it was like seeing the lock Ness mosnter she said it was killing my shrimp I laughed when I saw it was just a scud
