what substrate  do you recommend

my light is 2 bulb  i think its bright enough though

i usually plant them carefully

what are the plants good for gravel?grass any good?

oh i forgot to mention i do have 20g tank with fish( i just dont want to mix then with my yoyo loach i dont trust them the loach might harass or kill my new shrimps

i bought it on boxing day so all of them are for sale

when i plant my plants they eventually rotten on the base or lower part of the plants what should i do?

 my first crystal red shrimp

my 7.5g tank (fluval ebi set) and my shrimp (cbs/red rili) might arrive on the same day.

should i put my shrimp rigth away and gamble it. or should i cycle first.
