Amyers22 reacted to TokyoEbi in What grade would you classify these CRS as?
@Amyers22
Thanks! I got these all from the tank at my LFS for below S grade shrimp, which has cheaper shrimp than the S grade tank. Looking at them in the tank I saw a few who looked like S or above so I went with them.

The second one looks more like a V-band pattern. All the others look correct!

Amyers22 reacted to OblongShrimp in Cholla wood
I have never boiled it. It does often get a white fungus for the first few weeks but the shrimp will eat it and it will disappear on its own after a bit.

Amyers22 reacted to Shrimp Life in Cholla wood
I personally boil it prior to use just "incase" ... Maybe the problem wasn't the cholla - and if it was, perhaps there were some contaminants on it (that boiling would likely eradicate) I'm curious to see what others have to say..

Amyers22 reacted to Mr. F in RAOK Tons Of Moss!
I'm not gonna participate, but I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have found the accumulation of collective shrimping experience that's here. So much good advice and many tips that would take years of trial and error otherwise. Thanks TSS!

Amyers22 reacted to Soothing Shrimp in FS: Tall Fissidens on cholla
For sale:
I have some tall growing Fissidens on ~3" cholla. Free trumpet snails may be included on the ride, so if you don't want them- be sure to dip.
$9.95 plus whatever USPS shipping is preferred.
For some reason the plant looks light green in the pic, but dark green in real life. Go figure.
