It's very easy to prime.
 
It's on sale at my local Petsmart and today is the last day.

I found a really simple way to prime the filter.      Had my dad do it!!  Perhaps I should make a utube video of my advanced clever technique.
 
 
Seriously though.. I had asked him to cut the intake tube since I dont have any tools and when I got home, he had set it all up and gotten it started (I didnt really ask him)  He  was a mechanic all his life so he cant stand to have his hands on any kind of gadget and not put it together.  
 
Lucky me.   Also ,not that he has it started, the double taps it came with allow me to turn it off and on without having to reprime it.

Interesting topic - do you feel the same about the hmf  filters? I use the hmf in my 10 gal tanks and in my 20 gal I use hmf corner filter, Eheim 2213 canister and a 4x4x8 tower on the opposite side. Probably overkill, but

I do have some "Salvinia Cucullata" and red root floater both are rare and from Asia

There are four that I have moved to my TB tank. 1 of the 4 has a remarkable white striped pattern. Hopefully when they get a bit larger I can take a decent picture.

I wouldn't call them PRL just yet. I know many that wait 6-7 generations before obtaining this "Title". Even though they have not thrown a Snow White, Golden, Etc. doesn't mean that its not a recessive gene that could come out in later generations.

Green Pepper might be able to answer some of your questions. I know he has some very high quality BKK, check out his thread in the marketplace for pics.

Wow, well my crown leopard just got berried and the father is a Blue Mosura King kong!!! I'll post pictures of the babies when they pop out but won't be for a while, the anticipation is killing me already.

May be that your gh is too high.

So one of my shadow pandas I have has lost some of its blue, does that mean its stress free? Does being under stress make the shrimp any more unhealthy or affect its lifespan?
