What are you using to cover your tanks? I will be using a canister filter so need a top I can cut and I also want to be able to cover to help aide in evaporation. Thanks

thank you. oh cool, yea I like the OEBT a lot but my friends think CRS are better and are trying to get me to go that route instead. No one local sells OEBT at all so thats a downside. Thank you. I have a local fish store that sells black sand which i really like. oh good, if I did go with Black sand, I can put the active substrate above it?

Hmm it was a toss up between OEBT and CRS. Can OEBT survive the way I described? I do have about 40lbs of organic peat moss still sitting in my yard...lol. If I do get substrate, how long does it last and how much would I need for 40 gallon breeder ?

anyone here able to do it? Im Just curious to know since I want to Run Inert Black sand and nothing but drift wood and moss in my tank. I will be using RO remineralized but I am not sure if it is possible to raise CRS without an active substrate. Thanks

So I was at Petco earlier for 30 minutes standing there looking at a 20L and a 40B. Back and forth and even had an employee tell me I had 1 1/2 hours to decide before closing lol. I left with a 40B after looking at how much floor space I had to work with. It's a busy week at work so hopefully I'll get my journal updated in the next few weeks of it with something to show. Thanks all for the help

hey guys, I am in need of a replacement for my cheap heater. Im pretty sure it just died on me since the water is cold and the light doesn't come on. I have a loaner in there right now but need a good reliable heater asap. Please let me know what you recommend. Thanks
