You can ask Plamski. His BB's are some of the best I seen.

I have 2 packages available for grab. Every package include 10 BB .They looks like regular BB BUT they are culls from Black Pinto tank.
This tank has probably 50-60 old shrimps producing 85% pintos and 15 %  BB.
If you are looking for Pinto genes here is the chance.
Price is $70 shipped to lower 48 states.

Be careful buying random foam. If you get unlucky an buying foam that has flame retardant on it you can kiss your shrimps goodbye. The bad thing is you wont know till all the shrimp start dropping dead like flies.

Personally if you're doing 10g tanks then Flipaquatics is a safe bet (an cheap) for the foam since he gets the one specifically made for aquatic use.

As far as the jetlift tubes I tested the traditional airstone version, several DIY versions from youtube, an the $7.00 – Jetlifter™ small 4.4″ from swisstropics. Hands down I would recommend the small jetlift tubes from Swisstropics.

It first seems like you save money by doing the DIY tubes, but honestly in the end after buying all the PVC+ Airstones it came out to the same. The swisstropics pump out 10x better then any other I tried and were far more quite then the DIY ones with airstones. The jetlift tubes are honestly what make or break the quality of filtration a HMF filter can provide so it's honestly worth buying top quality jetlift tubes.

Setting up for a TB tank you might want to do a few things to ensure a successful tank.

    1. Upgrade substrate from eco-complete to active soil. Anything like SL-Aqua, ADA, ContraSoil.. etc
-This step will ensure a stable PH. Simply switching to RO water does not ensure your PH will not bounce up an down.

    2. Switch to RO water and make sure you buy a remineralizer like Salty Shrimp GH+. Plain RO water will not meet the requirements shrimp need. Roughly TDS of 100-150 and Gh 5 is what you should aim for.

What I would keep is the filters going till you make the change. This way the cycle process will go much faster.

Forum members have been asking me for shrimps videos.Plan was to make them early this year but busy schedule and some photo gear problem delayed the project.
Now after finding the right video camera and enough free time I'm ready to post couple of videos.
Will start with video showing 4 year project  of High Grade Blue Bolts and Panda Mosura.
I'll try to add new video at least once a week.Probably to be easy to find them I'll post them all in this first post.
For better quality and fast buffering you can watch them in YouTube.

I like the clean look they provide & once sponge is established you will find young shrimp picking on it all the time.

Here's a setup I recently started working on and love it so far.

The best way to sex shrimp is to check the 2nd abdominal segment for a spoon shaped segment.

Here is some photos to better explain what you look for in a female shrimp. Also keep in mind young females will exhibit the round segment but might not show the typical "big belly" till they carry their first batch of eggs.

Initially a little higher price but I highly recommend the investment if you plan on keeping shrimp tanks for the long run.
