  1. About 20g for his tanks. Good idea, but if one of his sponges clog, he's screwed.
  2. From the assumption we have made thus far, 22mg pure fishben for 10 gallon for planaria, 11 mg for hydra. 100mg panacur c for planaria, 50mg for hydra. Is this correct? I think we should make this info a sticky so no other accidents happen. What does everyone else think?
  3. I read this in the link I posted to Amazon for fishben, and thought it was interesting: "Next method, the better of the two but you will need a syringe. I did a 25% water change before using this method. Take 100ml of aquarium water, dump in one full packet and stir. 1ml per 10 gallon, repeat every 12hrs till Hydra gone. This way you get more of a dissolved solution. One dose seemed to do it. In my tank I had various kinds of shrimp and babies, rabbit, mystery, mts, and nerite snails, dwarf crayfish, guppy, various live plants. All did well. If they return I still have my solution ready."
  4. I have 1 or 2 Nessies almost like that, but not nearly as awesome as that big bold line.
  5. Yepper. Nerites and possibly apple snails can die due to fenben. Some people have been able to counteract the fenben afterwards by running double carbon in an HOB.
  6. For additional info on fishben: http://www.amazon.com/review/product/B009TAQ4OI?tag=hot-topic-store-20&hc_location=ufi
  7. I just reread my post. LOL Can you tell I salivate at new vars?
  8. WOW! What a beauty! Never seen one like that from my carbons, and I can TOTALLY see that as a strain! I highly encourage you to selective breed it! In fact, if you can isolate it now, you can be sure what babies have the desired genetics. Luckily it is a fem, and in neos the fem mostly carry the colors. How lucky! You could call it "Gold Nugget" or something. Absolutely beautiful! If you are extremely lucky, you could get that coloration in the f2 generation. If not, you may need to work with it more, but sooo worth it! If you decide to do the project, hit me up when you can get it breeding true. For sure I would buy some from you...if I could find a transhipper cheap enough. LOL
  9. Now that you know what you are looking for, see how hard it is to find?
  10. That would be like telling you what I'm giving for Christmas. LOL
  11. You can use the waste water in various ways. Plant watering, dog water, etc.
  12. Usually the shell rests on the Operculum on the body. They have to have full contact with the ground to move because they use waves of muscle contraction and relaxation travel along the central portion of the foot from tail to head. However since rabbit snails move differently, I'm not sure where the Operculum is anatomy wise.
  13. Did you use a dog dewormer or fishben, garden? How much did you use? --- Here's the responses from fb: https://www.facebook.com/groups/usashrimps/permalink/808367662578341/?qa_ref=qd
  14. Where did you find the right sized tube? If you cap the end, and play with hole size, and length, you can make a spraybar that way as well.
  15. And crickets smell. heh Yeah, been there. Done that.
  16. My inquiry is not whether it is 100mg powder for 10 gallon. I've come across that several times and can list links. My question is whether that only pertains to panacur. In essence you bring up a good question- since fishbenzadole is more pure than panacur, should the amount be reduced? From personal experience, I can say with certainty .1g fishben won't affect neos, but is it needed that high? It has also been used on cards that high with no problems, however again- that pure, is it needed that high? Very good questions, James.
  17. Where have you found that the .1g only refers to panacur?
  18. The recommendation for years has been .1g fenben per 10g.
  19. I posted this experience on a facebook shrimp forum. Hopefully I'll have some feedback about experiences good or bad.
