  1. Looks like carbons to me. Are the white and black cbs?
  2. I have them cheap. Just 1.95 ea.
  3. Had to do it at some point, I suppose. heh So, I can use it for acting as well as shrimping.
  4. I keep mine in 80F, but as I said- they adapt very well. Lots of people who have bought them from me keep them in cherry params, and a couple have even tried crs params.
  5. I have 'em. They out breed my cherries any time. Very very easy to keep, and very adaptable.
  6. You'll drive yourself crazy if every time something goes wrong you blame yourself. Just shrug it off, my friend, and fight the good fight.
  7. As long as you have that info, there are lots of people here that can offer advice for ya.
  8. PH, KH, GH, TDS, nits, even water temp. Without information, your questions cannot be answered.
  9. Yes you do...but then again....I'm an enabler. LOL
  10. You haven't tested params, my friend. Too many variables for you to have that question answered.
  11. I see you have mostly neos and prawns. crystals are a bit more particular on params.
  12. The good news is that you have the genetics to work with. They obviously have some white, so you should be able to breed for more coverage. I think you could have a good corner of the market on those. Are you going to breed back to snow or crs?
  13. Hmmmm. Did you pick the whitest to breed with the whitest? I don't see much white on it.
  14. I used to keep cherries in 80-82F. They did well, but you constantly had to be on the lookout for bacterial infections.
  15. Never seen an aura TiB before. That should look SWEET after f3-f4 or so!
  16. I think the pure red is becoming rarer and rarer, which makes me think the dragon is a dominant gene.
  17. It won't rise as fast as twice a day. heh
  18. Oh, and I store my RO in a brute can, so I don't think it was aged RO.
  19. LOL Flattery will get you everywhere. Extra oxygen can speed up the cycle, but be on the lookout for high ammonia or nitrite reading while the bloom is happening. That's the thing water changes are good for.
  20. Usually the tank either was not cycled, or the cycle was broken somehow.
  21. heh Well, experimentation is something I enjoy- and sometimes the only way to figure out alternative ways to do things.
  22. The most common way is to let it be and don't feed for several days. It will "burn itself out." Unfortunately, it can take some time. Up to 2 weeks sometimes, as long as ammonia is low. And no amount of water changes will help. Usually the bloom will dissipate as the nitrogen cycle becomes established and stabilizes.
