  1. Doesn't look leech. Possibly detritus type.
  2. Is the filter flow too high? Also, do you have a prefilter for your intake?
  3. I told my wife, I don't care if she vapes. Heck, that just steam and nicotine. However I don't like when she does regular cigs because of all the crap that goes in your lungs.
  4. Yepper, I figured as much from a previous post you made. Thanks.
  5. I just pd for gold membership myself. If t doesn't change my color, can you do it manually Oblong?
  6. The genes are pretty mixed up, so BD x BD will throw random colors.
  7. Bigger tanks have bigger bodies of water. That means params are more stable, and some problems work themselves out before becoming an issue. Evaporation also makes params swing greater in smaller tanks. This is why I generally use mostly tenners myself.
  8. For those that are wondering how to do this, there is a new tab at the top that says "more." Click on that to become a supporting member if desired. Here's what I see. I don't understand the URL or Image thang though, and it won't let me buy a membership without one. ???
  9. Thanks Boston! How do you add a drip?
  10. How do you keep a bulkhead in the bottom of the tank without the water running out? All I understand is an overflow.
  11. IMO, It's better to contact the person whom you bought this from and let them have a chance to rectify the situation. Of course if you would like to share it to anyone who asks via pm, that makes sense as well.
  12. You may even have more babies that are hiding. They are really good at that. Usually shrimp eat decaying things, so is it possible the leaves are melting? I feed my shrimp colonies of less than 100 on M, W, F. For my Malawas, I have to feed every day because I have 500-1000 in one tank and they turn cannibalistic otherwise.
  13. White inside is bacterial infection. The "green eggs" is either a fungus or parasite depending on whom you talk to. The only successful way to get rid of it in the US that has been tried that I know of is a salt dip. And yes. Isolate it, and treat or cull because it can spread and kill your entire colony: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...=146903&page=2 Look at post 29 and 30, 33 and 34 http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...940#post694940 The links are for vorticella, but uses the same treatment as what you'll have to do. Possibly even stronger. I believe the European treatment is a bath in formalin. Effective, but toxic so be careful.
  14. As shrimpers we are always re-thinking, re-evaluating, and re-viewing information to help us better our colonies and tanks. We all learn and continue to improve.
  15. For bold rainbows of colors, BD is the way to go.
