So one of the lights blew out before the day was over. I'm wondering now if the lamp housing is bad. For now I replaced it with an oversized coralife. Amazing what I can see now with much better lighting.

Sure beats my USPS packing tape across the top.

Lights came in today and work great.

For example: 1/4 cup of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide plus 1 1/2 cups of distilled water = 1 3/4 cups of 6% Hydrogen Peroxide. A 1-to-3 ratio of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide to distilled water would yield a 12% Hydrogen Peroxide solution. Thus you can adjust the % Hydrogen Peroxide as desired to accommodate the rate at which oxygen is dispensed into the aquarium. ...so 1 quart of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide yields 1 3/4 gallons of 6% Hydrogen Peroxide. I can see people making this and selling it similar to food samples.

Heyya guys. Just got in from rehearsal. No geneticist here, just a hobbyist with lots of experience with neos. In my opinion blue jelly is derived from BV. That means if bred together they should breed blue. Now, having said that, I have to state it depends on where the blue resides in the dna as to whether or not they will throw any wilds. Sometimes var have different locations although called the same thing. (Ie. 2 strains called the same because different people worked on them in different ways, but their phenotype was the same- but not genotype.) My suspicions are that you will be safe though...but no guarantee.

Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to spearhead this, my schedule doesn't allow me to do it. So someone needs to step forward if interested in running it.

IMO the shrimp pictured in the auction are neos. You can tell by the large eyes and elongated body. Clear blue shell also gives it away. (Ie. BV) Last time I had the opportunity to buy true auras, they were $25-50 ea.

That's what separates serious hobbyists from some big breeders.
