  1. Can't you see shrimp running around on land like mud skippers?
  2. At my place I have very little control of temperature, so someone will have to try them and see how sensitive they really are. They are relatively cheap at 4.50 ea.
  3. Personally, I like detritus worms. To me it's part of a healthy environment and they do a good job getting any extra food left behind.
  4. I'm sure you could evelutionize shrimp if you did little by little. If 99% die and 1% survive, that is the start of evolution.
  5. I've seen 'em for sale. Wait... here http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/closed.cgi?view_closed_item&fwinverts1402688981 You may want to write and ask if they still have any and let us know what they say.
  6. I don't think food will change genetics.
  7. That's the way I figure out TDS before adding water. So yeah, in theory it should be 150 if you have 300 TDS.
  8. Awesome. I know some people who do TB do 40g.
  9. I wouldn't add all 12. 1-2 should do it for ya, and minimize any shrimp loss should you have any.
  10. Guess it's my turn to draw the number from our fine members here, for my RAOK, eh? Congrats Duff! PM me and we'll get my stuff out to ya!
  11. From the album: misc

  12. No. It would have no affect on the offspring.
  13. This is pure conjecture, but I don't think they would go after adults. Babies would be fair game. But again, this is theory-not fact.

  15. Well, that's how I found out about the other color changer. I don't really have an open tank right now, but perhaps someone else may help out with some yellow culls and see what happens?
  16. This is being offerred for sale on another forum. I think the price is $300 and it is a 200+ gal Custom Acrylic Fish Tank, DIY Stand & Sump I think it is beautiful, but I can't afford it. heh
  17. I don't know if zeaxanthin has the same properties to turn neos weird colors or not.
  18. I know lots of people tend to cram a vacation in at the end of summer.
  19. I'm still trying to come up with info on a new var of Tuepfel: orange pearl tiger shrimp. Don't even have a picture to know what it looks like.
  20. Apple greens are created by Red Tuepfel or TT or Yellow Tuepfel x Aura Tuepfel. The color it is crossed with affects how deep the green is. So even if we got only the Aura here (IF we could keep it alive being a sensitive shrimp), we could breed our own Apples.
  21. That's one of the reasons I stuck with tenners, Subtle. The param swing was too much from evap in a small tank. But I guess a 10g is even considered a Nano, which surprised me.
  22. Possibly. I bought from two sources and only one survived. From that one I got one set of good berries. She's dropped every berry since, but at least it gave me some to play with.
