  1. We have lots of posts on "What bug is in my tank?" From detritus worms to flat worms. We will only get more posts on this as time goes on. Is there someone who would like to write an article on IDing what bug is what, for it to be placed as a stickie?
  2. Then welcome to All Shrimp Great and Small.
  3. Depends how challenged you like to be
  4. http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?fwarowana Low of $30, high of $3500
  5. Just wanted to let everyone know that since we have so many threads here (YAY!) that we now have created some separate topic areas for them to go into. So, if you don't see your thread- don't freak out. LOL It has probably been moved to a different topic area. A reminder you can also do a search to find a thread. ...and as always, you can click on "View New Content" to see new posts that have been...er...posted.
  6. memery, if you want ramshorns, or pond snails, or ?, put an ad up in the market section here. I'm sure many of us could help you out.
  7. Great to have you here!
  8. Mine reads around 25TDS. Like H4N, my water pressure is the pits, and my tap is high TDS. He has a pressure booster and I don't. The lower your water pressure, the more TDS will read. If you have regular water pressure or high water pressure, the lower your TDS will be. As bad as this sounds, I love it! My animals do well with the RO. Without it, I'm always having some kind of problem going on. Two best investments I've ever made in this hobby are my RO unit, and my Alita 60 air pump.
  9. aliclarke86, our very own James Harriet of shrimp.. or should I say Helen Harriet? Welcome!
  10. Love it when experiments turn out well. I kept a crs in a ph of 7+ for 3-4 months before death. I think the secret is to get babies born into the ph. By doing so, they are naturally acclimated and the following generations will be even better,
  11. You've come to a great place! Welcome!
  12. That's something to figure out for sure as this may be a possibility. Perhaps it carries over to the next week lottery if not enough to pay for the shrimp. (Similar to the real lottery if there is no winner?) You could even have a count down system that shows X amount of tickets that still need to be sold in order for the shrimp to be drawn this week.
  13. I will say that you don't want to use Astaxanthin powder with neos though, or they'll turn icky colors.
  14. Looks great man! A bleeder valve will make your pump loud. Tried it. Didn't like it.
  15. In that case, let me sell you a few of my better blue splotched carbons. I can select some that hardly have any splotches at all, and it will give you a leg up in your selective breeding project.
  16. We all have to help each other, my friend.
  17. Yeah, but if you raise the temp you are also risking bacteria bloom IMO.
  18. BB x KK = WR x BB = That sort of thang. For instance, to me there's a dilution gene working with KK, panda, etc to create Jellies and hulks. However there's no proof.
