  1. Malaya are actually one of the very few fw low order shrimp. The larvae change within a couple days to mini adults, so no special food is needed.
  2. Good to hear! I'm just a hobbyist like you, and don't know all the answers. There's fabulous members on the forum here that will be glad to help, too.
  3. Sometimes no matter how bad a seller is, it's worth a gamble if no one else has something, and you know the risk already.
  4. Twinstar has been talked about off and on here. Type in twinstar in the search above, and many links come up. Probably 2 or 3 threads.
  5. No idea, but we haven't reached the limit yet.
  6. Low gh thins the shells and supplements can be given for that if desired, but the low ph etches and eventually will pit them. I like some snails in my tanks, but buffering soil does not make shells pretty. heh
  7. From what I read they do, but lots of stuff in aquaria is conjecture.
  8. The white shell is etching from the low ph.
  9. I remember reading that assassins leave a slime trail that is like a drug and slows creatures down. (?) They are also ambush predators. They hide underground. Shrimp can be totally focused on feeding.
  10. The offspring would be crs/cbs and golden in the future.
  11. Oh, I'm keeping them in neo conditions. So far, so good.
  12. That's the danger of starting to selectively breed. Collector-itis adds up quick! And I only have so much space. heh
  13. In my opinion, cards do not breed with neos. Nor have I seen any proven instance of it. Wild neos are often mistaken identity as hybrids.
  14. Well, yellow rili is actually poorly colored orange rili at this time. So far no real yellow rili is available in mass production. Carbons are from the chocolate diamond strain.
  15. I'm happy so far. Yeah, my goal is to make them greener.
  16. Here's a new recent project for me- Apple Green Tigers. I'm very excited! I obtained F1s (Aura x TT) from a friend who was having a challenge with his shrimp dying. We worked out a win-win deal (I love those!) if I could keep them alive. So far, so good for the project. One of the better looking apple greens. And soon... F2's! Should be interesting to see what these look like! Set to hatch the end of April...
