  1. Kinda looks like a yeti crab. I've seen them in white, but not brown.
  2. I've never heard of that, nuri. Will you explain more on how it is used?
  3. Thanks Jynn. I should check further into hc then. How fast does it spread emersed?
  4. LOL Wish I could earn enough to make a profit. As it is, I consider it a loan to myself, which I withdrawal for my daughter's gymnastics.
  5. I think the land plant is Soleirolia soleirolii, while the aquatic plant is Hemianthus micranthemoides.
  6. You could always sell what you have and start fresh with prl. Yes, prl would increase whiteness, but not to the point the prl are. prl would no longer be prl after crossing.
  7. very small. It's for my vivarium with red devil crabs. The crabs avg 1", so would like to see them instead of having them covered up via plants or leaves. The plants would be more for crabs walking on. Think forest moss type.
  8. Many i have seen say they have to be kept cool. I originally thought of using moss collected from a neighbor's yard, but don't want any bug nasties, and I don't know how it will do in higher heat. 75-80F
  9. I wonder how aquatic moss would look across the ground. I plan on a mister, so the moss would constantly be wet. I'll post a thread on emersed plants. Maybe people can help me with some ideas...
  10. Been searching much of the morning for ideas on vivariums for my set up. The red devil crabs are about as big as shrimp, but they hide constantly. I know they'll burrow, so need a "soil" to mimic that. OKay. I also am planning on very low in height plants to be able to see them more, with some objects to break up line of sight from each other. I like this digital set up someone created, but I want to add water for some wild neo shrimp as well.
  11. Any suggestions on very low growing emersed plants? HC looks pretty nice growing on land, but may be too tall for my needs.
  12. I have Caridina pareparensis parvidentata, but not paracaridina. SKA from Canada has blue bees 10 for $100. High5's kept them, but hasn't been on much lately...
  13. Well, I've seen new neo strains sell for for $100 ea. less than 10 years ago. Now I see new neo strains sell for ~$25 ea. Sometimes a little less. It all depends on the motivation. Sometimes people sell self-made new strains for less simply to start getting them into the hands of other hobbyists.
  14. I saw this and started laughing. Gee, why does this sound familiar? "Crested geckos are “polygenic” (multiple genes controlling their phenotype) and less predictable because they aren’t considered het for any specific morph. It’s very “what you see is what you get”. Simply put, you can get cool things to pop out randomly, but then you need to selectively breed that through multiple generations."
  15. These look interesting: http://www.moonvalleyreptiles.com/crested-geckos/morphs Be careful, because the tails come off if pulled on.
  16. Looks like a BM rili to me. Have you thought about starting a line? I haven't seen a strain of those yet.
  17. These are the type I'm planning on getting. They seem the easiest to breed. Red Devil Crabs
