  1. Nadia did her Excalibur meet today. Her scores are as follows: Vault 8.9 Bars 9.55 Beam 9.3 Floor 8.85 AA 36.6 Floor went down a little, but she met/broke all her other season bests. She wound up 3rd on beam, 4th on bars, and 6th on floor and vault. :D All in all she received 5 medals today. We have until the 1st weekend of Feb to practice for the next meet. Who knows how tough the judges will score there? For now, we're happy with today.
  2. Taylor, a Skeleton looks like a high grade white rili.
  3. Are you able to post pics? A picture is easier to visualize. Heh
  4. Is your GH in degrees? I'd assume not, but double checking... PH at this point would be better for cards.
  5. Blue jellies and hulks in there too???
  6. Welcome! Where are you from? We may have some members by you that have some shrimp. We also have quite a few members here that like to trade/sell shrimp too.
  7. "Make-Your-Own" Solution: Here's a link to information and a source where you can purchase the proper ("food") grade of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide -- which you must "dilute" with pure distilled water to achieve the desired concentration as follows: 1 part 35% Hydrogen Peroxide to 6 parts distilled water yields the recommended 6% solution. For example: 1/4 cup of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide plus 1 1/2 cups of distilled water = 1 3/4 cups of 6% Hydrogen Peroxide. A 1-to-2 ratio of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide to distilled water would yield an 18% Hydrogen Peroxide solution. A 1-to-3 ratio of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide to distilled water would yield a 12% Hydrogen Peroxide solution. Thus you can adjust the % Hydrogen Peroxide as desired to accommodate the rate at which oxygen is dispensed into the aquarium. As of 8/22/09, you can purchase 1 quart of food grade 35% Hydrogen Peroxide for $21.83 plus $9.33 shipping. They also sell pints and gallons, but don't forget -- you're diluting that 35% Hydrogen Peroxide by a factor of 6-to-1, so 1 quart of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide yields 1 3/4 gallons of 6% Hydrogen Peroxide.
  8. Those contain Carotenoids, which is astaxanthin. Great for crayfish, lobsters, and other kinds of shrimp. Not so great for neos...
  9. Love the idea of a shrimp calculator. Been waiting for someone to do this for a long time. As said, you'd be better sticking with cards, since neos don't do crossings well.
  10. Fun read, Mayphly. It all goes back to the debate- is a BB or RB actually just a snow with TB genes. Lots of hotly contested opinions, but no real facts yet.
  11. No doubt about it. Mayphly is awesome.
  12. Dangit! You would have to have great prices right now! Post those pics and let me see how much my wallet will cry...
  13. Hornwort has almost always died on me when I tried to ship it.
  14. "Thank you for your concern, regarding this, I have contacted several governed bodies to find out. And I also have now opened an account with UPS, to ship live crustaceans (which is not restricted nor prohibited) and other dry goods. Because these are invertebrates and to be used as pet, not for human consumption nor reselling in USA, therefore no restrictions when shipping to the USA (only). And as far as I've spoken to CFIA, if the courier has accepted the parcel to be posted (with correct description) than there is no problem. And it is the responsibility of the receiver to notify the relevant governed bodies in USA if needed." If this is correct, then this is great news.
  15. Since it is inert, it just depends on how deep you'll need for plants if you want that.
  16. It really depends on the gases in your water. As it sits longer, it can gas off and another pH can appear.
