  1. Shrimpo, would you explain the parts to this please?
  2. The morn/night top off may be your challenge?
  3. Amanda, did you use airline tubing to add in new water? I found a while back for me, adding water too abruptly has bad consequences for my tanks.
  4. Welcome! My daughter's first gymnastics coach was from Romania.
  5. Some fish will go after each other if there are only two in the tank, while greater numbers "distracts" them from doing so. Don't know if piranhas are the same way...
  6. Several people have had very good success with gh/kh. For me, I tried that and went back to SS gh+. For some reason, my neos didn't do nearly as well with gh/kh, but everybody has different water and what works for one may not work for another. The added advantage is I can use gh+ for my cards as well.
  7. One of my favorites that I have just found in the last month is Lipton Greentea- Orange Passionfruit Jasmine. Has a nice strong citrus taste.
  8. All depends if you want to deal with shipping/pickup.
  9. Most of the neos we see are solid or rili, but not all. Many do have colored tiger stripes- especially in the lower grades. "Wilds" also have them. However, having said that, the body shape to me looks wrong for a neo. (?) The rostum is longer in your picture than what I am used to. However, putting that aside, if it came from a neo, I haven't seen that specific look before. It looks like yellow tissue as well? It also looks young, so looks can still change some.
  10. Any suggestions on colorful beginner frags that grow fast? As in shrimp, I feel the best way to get into the hobby is to feel successful in a short time. If I can get some that look great and grow rapidly, I'm less likely to become discouraged . BTW Those tanks are awesome! I'm thinking more of a frag tank set up like this: But homemade. Perhaps with the light grids.

  12. Monitor the ph closely. I've read more than one post about how hard it is to control ph that way.
  13. You read that right. heh http://eternalreefs.com/eternal-reefs-and-pricing/ Interesting idea.
  14. Anyone grow coral? I've been looking at frags and they are beautiful.
  15. Great to have you back into shrimp! Welcome!
  16. Yep. Mine grew to be around 5" or slightly more. They all start small and grow though. I'm still thinking this one looks too dark though. Mine were more beige.
  17. Yep. Mine gre to be around 5" or slightly more. They all start small and grow though.
  18. YAY! Congrats! You'll be surprised the variety of greens that pop out!
  19. Looks too dark and grey to me for Marmorkrebs...
