    The 2nd one up looks fem, but at this size they can be real foolers. When they are closer to one inch (2.5cm) you'll be able to know better.

    I respectfully disagree, at least with neos of which I have tied up most of my hands on experience. ;pIf this were true you could cross any two colors and get a percentage of a specific different color everytime. Since this is not the case, we end up working to influence the bell curve. I know where you are coming from though. Cards seem to be differently structured.

    Yepper. The diamonds will throw rilis as well, so not surprising your BM do too.

    I hear ya Wygglz. Mice have a similar co-allele. a= albino, but depending on the matching allele it can either be albino, Himalayan or Siamese. It also has a dilution gene that changes colors to more muted. Ie. Black to blue, brown to cream, etc.

    The researcher who studies the DNA of ornamental shrimp colors will become almost instantly famous amongst shrimp keepers. NOBODY is doing this right now. It's a wide open field.

    I don't know of any posters currently. However it sounds as if it would be a nice giveaway for sellers for people to remember them.

    My plan is to put something over the inlet to keep shrimp from getting into it. You may be correct about the flow being reduced too much, however I don't think it will. Water molecules are smaller than any filter I may place over the ends of the hoses/pipes. Current filter idea is SS on the ends...

    My father often used peppermint for his stomach. Now that Christmas is close, I'm going to have to locate some peppermint and other Christmas teas. Oh! We could all trade different Christmas teas!

    I was originally thinking of auto water changes, but now I've got myself wondering about using water bridges for extra water volume. I have 6 tanks per shelf. 10g tanks. If I connect those tanks, I now have 60g and a more stable param. Has anyone done this?

    I know for a fact there must be more than one black gene in crystals for instance. More than one contact has had cbs pop up in crs strains. In most shrimp, there is just not the simple dominant/recessives that there are in mammals. There's partials and co-s and all kind of weird stuff that just doesn't play nicely with punnet squares.

    Not much bacteria lives in the water. It lives on surfaces inside the tank.

    The more serious you get into shrimp, the more you'll find scammers that sell counterfeit shrimp to make a buck. Ie. Crs as mischlings, etc You'll also find sellers who just label their shrimp a color because it looks like a color they've seen or heard about. This is a good reason to buy only off reputable sellers, and even pay a little more if needed- to know what genetics you are getting.
