JamesHe got a reaction from Soothing Shrimp in Experiences using ONLY tap water with shrimp? No R/O. Good or Bad stories welcome.
Each tap water is different.
It depends on your location. no simple answer for it.
it works for someone, no guarantee it would work for you.
RO + remineralizer is simpler solution, it works for everybody.
Cost wise, no bigger difference, as most serious breeder purchase RO unit to make their own RO water.

JamesHe got a reaction from DETAquarium in Shrimp Macro Photography
I use 200mm/F4 Nikkor Micro lens.
the focus length determines your working distance.
the longer the focus length, the greater working distance you get. it's very important.
So personally i will suggest 100mm/F2.8 as standard shrimp macro lens.

JamesHe reacted to Rivergardennursery in Traveling to Pleasanton CA
Just left them, and eating at Chipotle around the corner. They had very nice tanks, but nothing really for live plants. They did have some shrimp that looked nice, but not too many options

JamesHe got a reaction from colorfan in Shipping temperatures
Shrimp can be shipped all year around.
experienced seller will check your local weather before packing. add heat pack/cold pack if needed.
some may ask for extra charge for the heat/cold pack.

JamesHe got a reaction from svetilda in How would you set up a TB tank?
Only corner HMF needs silicone glue. get regular one.
it equals to two big 4.25" cube sponge filter.
You're on the right track, TB is as easy as PRL/CRS now a days. they just grow slower than PRL/CRS
