  1. you still selling mini pellias? like ones you've sold me last time, nice chunky big colony

  2. Some of the imports are fine as there are some stock that actually hang around in the tanks in their US facilities or distributors for some time and are acclimated especially like some of Joe's Aqua, think of it being quarantined unless they are freshly imported and shipped out to the buyer.
  3. Pretty much what TheGlassBox mentioned. It's nice to just use RO water and have control of what you want in it (remineralized).
  4. Welcome Ben! thanks for providing all the info =] and I love finding babies as well
  5. I never really seen an issue with planaria and shrimp tbh. I believe when a shrimp is sick or dead then the planaria will latch on etc. It's the same when there is a sick shrimp and another shrimp starts grazing on it, it's like they know when another shrimp is sick or close to dying instead of actually attacking a healthy shrimp. Ever seen zombie creatures? when one creature is controlled by a parasite, but is in fact already dead, but still moving. So I wonder if that may be the case...where a shrimp is close to dying and that's when they are being attacked.. as I've seen no issues with babies either in many tanks and some of other's experiences.
  6. yeah so many variations now.. sparkle, red steel, blue steel, and ghost-red eyes & many more hybrids.
  7. the first few images look like possible males, hard to tell by photo angle, but the others are female. If it has a curvy belly carapace, then obvious female. Most males are streamlined shape.
  8. most moss should do! xmas moss, flame moss, mini pellias. if you want a carpet, you can do monte carlos, they'll grow slower and prob not as green/dense as with co2, but they'll thrive and be ok. I'd recommend the peat and some have plenty of ferts in them already so it'll work well. If you more concern with PH and such for neos or shrimps in higher ph etc, you can always add in rocks like seiryu that tend to buffer higher. Or do a mix of sand + peat, peat where you are going to put the plants. Upaqua soil also seems to be ok, doesn't mush like ada aquasoil, doesn't leech ammonia and is easier to manage with. For some, it doesn't really buffer the PH low as advertised.
  9. if you find them, you can send to me and I will let you know haha jk. bb mosuras are awesome. Hopefully you get some..
  10. yes, if you cull and keep the best patterns/colors, you'll have higher chances and then just keep breeding them through generations to have a more stable and nicer offspring.
  11. Eventually you may get some detritus worms in the soil and if you see alot coming to the glass or surface, it means there's not enough oxygen going to the subtrate for them or because there is a huge population due to the tank being overfed/leftovers. I have seen some shrimp eat dead worms before. Some people do experience planaria etc and have tried to avoid those although some don't really have issues with them in the tank.
  12. it may be the inconsistent change in your parameter or sometimes it is a freshly molted shrimp and it'll regain it back. Sometimes it's genetics and how they actually look, some may be color enhanced until they molt or are on a different diet.
  13. how small? would you be able to include some adults?
