I don't recommend this to everyone, like I said I keep everything the same down to identical plants, wood, leaves and so on. When I do water changes I dont drip because I match the water. Shrimp can be touchy but I think some people make them out to be more delicate than they are. Shrimp are adaptable. Consistency is the key. You read some posts and people make shrimp keeping sound like its a lab experiment that has to be done in a contamination free environment in outer space. LOL

Arks prices for Cardinals are very reasonable and will be making a purchase next week for some. I also purchased some OEBT's from Ark and he also sent me 4 types of plants and 5 extras.

Hmmmm.... Perhaps I've been overly cautious.  I'll try what everyone recommends next time.

I've definitely thought about this before. IMO the sooner the better. I transfer berried shrimp all the time with all my projects going on. When I notice a new berried shrimp which I want to transfer I just net her and drop her in to her new home. No drip acclimation is necessary because all my tanks have very similar parameters. I think it's important to place the mother shrimp in her new inviornment asap. The sooner this is done I think the new offspring have a better chance to acclimate and develop in the enviornment they will be born into. I've had way more success this way than waiting to transfer a berried shrimp.  I have also transferred shrimp from a tank with a low PH of 5.3 to a tank with a PH of 7. I havent had a loss yet. However, I think temps need to be close in order to transfer without acclimating. Just my 2 cents.

hello, i have first Shadow juvenile and i have some question about it in my mind. This blue color is what?!
- secondary surface colour of TB? black, red, white is primary-dominant
- is it subsurface color of TB's body, which sometimes go to surface into primary colors?
- is it only tint of white colour of TB? some failure of genetics of white TB color?

   I was wondering if anyone wants to tell others about good deals with limited time frames?  Like Amazon Prime deals.   For example today I saw that Flipaquatics has a Saturday special for Mettenfilters on sale.  10g for $9.95 or 20g for $12.95.  Hopefully we can save each other some money.

Did you add an extra valve to bleed out some air so back pressure isn't built up in the air pump? I heard that it helps with the noise and prolongs the air pump's longevity.
Personally, bleeding out some of the air made my tetra whisper air pump more quiet.
Also, some people place their air pumps on some kind of mat / fabric / foam to dampen some of the vibration that causes the humming you hear

Of course they'll probibly suppliment their diet with plants. ?

If you use sinking pellets for the crays you can control the feeding ,much better than dumping a bunch of flakes hoping they get enough.

Just feed food for the fish.  Extra food will be gobbled up by the cray and shrimp.

Andy and I are going to give it a try. Dennerle is the expert on cardinal's. Its name is Caridina Dennerli.

If it dissolves without any heated water or CO2, I'll be thrilled!
