  1. Glass bottom tanks are very nice with Goldfish. Plants are tough, Goldfish are very dirty. Weekly water changes for 20+%. Fancy's can get sick very easy. Start with and just use Repashy Soilent and super green food, it will help with swim bladder. I breed/raise/import/sell/export 1000+ goldfish a year. They do and should get large, do not try Comets or Shubunkin for indoor. 55 gallon tank is a little high for some of the Fancys. Orandas and Ryunkins will do well in a 55. I love Ranchus, they are the King of Goldfish. Ranchus truly have personalities and can be fun. Goldfish are a lot of work, most people do not realize So no to the Pearlscale in a mixed tank.
  2. This one is for looks. I have all my Goldfish in 40 gallon breeders, stacked 3 high. I have to use a step stool for the top tank
  3. Thanks all..... I will start playing around today and see what I come up with... Leaning towards 12", but I like the looks of a nice wall of tanks. This one will have 20 gallon longs, 12-18 of them. I think if I had all rimless nice tanks it would be easier to just do 12". I love the looks of the rimless, but the black caps around the 20 gallon longs are not as attractive to me
  4. Added some moss and Plants. I am almost 2 weeks in. I will do a 50% water change soon and add the ro/di water back with the SL-Aqua. Then I will be close to ready for the Shrimp. Still not sure what I want to have in this setup Bucephaland Silver Powder
  5. Question.... I am starting another rack and thought I would inquire from others how much room you leave between the top of the aquarium and the next shelf. I have found it is a balancing act between the convenience of reaching in with a net/plants/picture of water, cups of water for water changes, and the look and feel My goldfish racks are about 12" from aquarium top to the next self, I was toying with the idea of 8" to give it a different look, but thought I would ask what others have tried and liked or disliked. I do want this rack to be a dis[play rack so needs to look very nice and serve as something to pull plants/racks/shrimp in and out of
  6. Usage: adding 10ml into 100 liters (~25 gallons) will increase roughly 1-1.3dGH. Hope this helps For 5 Gallons you would dose about 8 ml to get the GH up to 4
  7. About 7 days in, I did have to top off the water, and it caused a drop in temp, but bounced back up.

  10. Just an FYI, we are having some good storms here, and it is Thursday, so I hesitate to send anything in the mail. I am responding to PM. Thanks All
  11. Yes I have no idea how/why. I post them from my iPad, and they always turn for some reason.
  12. Lol... I am not sure why I even clicked in this thread, and now I want a crested gecko. They are so cool, and pricey
  13. Picture link - http://www.shrimpspot.com/index.php?/topic/5799-bucephaland-plants-are-here/ I will go through rest of PM's in the morning... Still dripping the new shrimp
  14. Thank you, I think I will call them. I have read very mixed reviews. Also it is set for freshwater or saltwater. I know it is pricy, but in a linked system with 20 tanks, it would be worth the cost if it works as designed
  15. I just got in some MK Breed PRL (S Grade). I thought I would share some pictures and 2 quick videos fro, drip acculmation to swimming in their new home. These are a blast so far. They are very costly to me, but I really like them. Not sure if they will be up for sale, but I have them in a display tank Part 1
  16. Mini Kapuas - All Sold out, Thank You they never made it to the Display tanks
  17. Anyone try this out? I think it would be great, between this and the PH pen, I would be set. With Goldfish, I have to change the water every week at least 40%, but with shrimp and plants it is more of a monitor and change as needed. This could go a long way. Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this http://americanmarineusa.com/products/pinpoint-nitrate-monitor
  18. The individual clumps above. I have a few larger clumps on the link but they are a bit more costly. The photos show the actual plants that I will be shipping. Thanks for asking
  19. I have read that they are working on a low read PH improvement, but I do not know 100% for sure. I still like my pinpoint but it would be great to have it in the Seneye.
  20. Before I plant all of these nice Buce's, and arrange them in the display tanks, I thought I would offer some up for sale online first (also saves me work). I also thought this would be a great opportunity to try some Buce's at an introductory price, these plants can get costly Mini Kapuas $3.00 each Next up Silver Powder $5.00 Dark Green Purple Kapuas $6.00 Dark Green Kapuas $8.00 each Green Saw $8.00 More Pictures - http://www.shrimpspot.com/index.php?/topic/5799-bucephaland-plants-are-here/ Dark Green Kapuas Dark Green Purple Kapuas Green Saw Mini Kapuas Silver Powder
  21. Let me know if you want one, I still have a few left over. I have wanted to test with the O2 and my CO2, but just never seem to have the time
