Ok,now that I have seen this... I am not sure what I saw before, lol. But, in my defense, I had nothing to compare it too.
 
Sorry, again, for crappy pics but this time it's for real... baby snowballs! Momma is hiding on behind the filter, so I'm expecting more. One nice thing about white shrimp on a black sponge.

I went to Vietnam this summer to Dalat. The weather is very nice there, some of the cafe places has display shrimp tanks. Drinking coffee + watching shrimps is nice!

They're opening a cat cafe in Portland (about 100 miles from us). They're all the rage in Japan and are slowly making their way here. Why not an aquarium cafe? Think how relaxing it would be to have your coffee or tea while watching a peaceful aquarium. Sure, throw a few cats in there to cuddle, too. Why not?

Wish I could. It sounds like a lot of fun. It could be like the tea shop that's near us... its theme is antiques. Once you've enjoyed your food and the decor, you can walk through to the adjoined space and buy antiques. Could do the same for all those aquatic goodies. Maybe I should bring it up to the guy who owns the best fish store we have locally. He's got all the stock to make it happen. It could become a thing.

Soothing - I can just imagine comfy chairs set up around tanks, some solo and some where people can chat. Then, of course, there would be a shrimp store in the back where they can start up their own shrimp addiction! Or, they can just come in and enjoy them.
 
Might be hard to have kitties roaming too since that would discourage those with allergies

Aquarium cafe would be awesome.  Coincidentally , I was just talking to my wife about something similar and how that would be a great idea for someone to do.

LOL  Not as young as I never was, but I do love doing them.

Flemish giant?  They were originally bred for food.

Just a quickie shot from this weekend's set of shows.  That's me bouncing off a wall and doing slapstick in the show.  Not bad for a 44 yr old. LOL  I've always been the type of actor called on for physical comedy.

They're great for constantly turning the substrate, but they definitely "muscle" my shrimps off shrimp foods. They will completely take over shrimp foods within minutes. No problem though - I just feed more.

ouchie. that sucks.. but before you make any rash decisions... give it another week and decide when you are less emotional.   If things do go badly, you may want your hobby that you enjoy to take your mind off things .  If they don't go badly then status quo.    

I wrote an article for Will on shrimp Anatomy and Physiology.  I dont think he has posted it yet but im currently working on another article for him on morphological differences between Caridina and NeoCaridina.  I am in contact with the assistant curator of the Oxford Natural History Museum who happens to be a leading field researcher in freshwater decapods.
