SO... It has been quite sometime since I had an update on this topic. I have had several batches of shrimplets in my TB/OEBT Tank. I have had Pandas, Shadow Pandas, Wine Red, Blue Bolt and OEBT offspring, with alot of No-Entry Hino patterns but no Tibees!
 
Finally I noticed this past set of shrimplets produced a number of Tibees. Though, they are extremely small at this point, I will post some pictures when they are a bit larger (juvenile size).
 
Now the challenge to cross these Tibees back to TBs begin.

I've used cuttle bone before in my tanks.  Didn't see any change in params, and the shrimp seems to eat from it.  Whether they were eating calcium or micro nutrients collected on it, I don't know.

The way that I have made vacation work in the past was to buy some plastic 1" x 2" bags (50 pk), pre-fill them with the amount of pellet food that I normally fed each individual tank, then wrote the day to use each bag, on the bag, and taped the bags to the tank with scotch tape.  So, my helper (wife) just had to go to each tank, open a plastic bag for that tank on the proper day, and dump the pellets in.  I also had a 30 gallon Brute can filled with RO water so she could simply top off the tanks as needed.  This all ended up working out really well for me - 14 tanks total.  My wife really appreciated it since she didn't have to over-think anything and could just simply follow the simple steps.

What a nice surprise as I wasn't expecting this. My blue mosura shadow turned out a female and now she's berried. She was not around for a while and hiding in corners and caves and I was worried about her but yesterday I saw she's berried fingers crossed. I am not sure what is the male also as there are strong candidates

Update: As I shared before I got lots of babies but most of them are CRS and CBS, only 5 of them Panda and few low density Blue Bolt babies. So I seperated my male mischlings and CBS CRS babies to my 2nd mischling tank in order to keep now only Taiwan shrimps in my main tank.
 
After I seperated my shrimps in my main tank there were 5 Taiwan males and 2 female mishclings. SO I decided to inject some different bloods, here are below my new residents.
 
1 Shadow Mosura + 2 King Kong (Don't know F or M but I presume they are Males)   I really like Shadow Mosura's color, it's really cool to watch.
 

Here is an update on this breeding project.
I have about 10 juveniles in this tank. About 25 adults. Five females are currently berried. Most males are blueish to blue, one is yellowish. Most females show yellow color, one is bluish (picture lower left).
I try to keep the population growing and then try to stabilize the colors and maybe select for more intense blue and golden variants. Let's see if the the new born males will also tend to be blue and the females yellow. Would be very interesting.
 

Berried Sulawesi Golden Crown Shrimp (Caridina Sulawesi)
 
I have been trying to breed yellow and blue Caridina sulawesi (Sualwesi crown shrimp) lines for some time now, but they were not very stable. Lately things look more promising. Most of the offspring from two bluish females and two bluish males showed nice yellow coloration (!) on their heads. Yesterday, I discovered the first berried female from the new generation. The eggs are green and turn black as they mature. Interestingly, the males show a bluish coloration, as you can see on the picture. I am curious to see if this is a real sexual dimorphism. I hope the other females will get berried soon so that I will have a good stock for further selection.

STC 1000 installation looks difficult if you try manual only but take this advice and check below installation video as most of the people including me followed that for STC 1000 wiring. ıt's really simple once you watch it and do as stopping per levels.

The STC-1000 has a temperature probe that you put in your tank. In the Amazon link you posted, the second picture shows the probe with wire leads.
It has relay contacts for heating and cooling. You set the trigger temperature and hysteresis and it will monitor the temp and turn on the heating or cooling device to maintain the set temperature.
It's not as simple as plugging the fan into the back. You have to wire it properly. There are lots of examples on google and YouTube. If you get really stuck, I'm sure I can walk you through it.

I think the babies were staying on the mom so long because they were eating her molt before she even shed it.

Do a search for STC-1000 on eBay or Amazon. I've been using these controllers for years now and they are reliable and cheap. Just make sure to get the correct voltage for your region.
 
The instructions are complete Chinglish but google has lots of examples of how to wire it up and program it.

I've been keeping some aura blue tibee (ABT) females with some of my TB and today I was in for a nice surprise. I came home from work and saw that my ABT was finally saddled. So, I ran and got my camera thinking to myself that she'll be gone by the time I get everything set up. As I started taking a few pics and adjusting my lighting this male panda TB came out of nowhere and I managed to capture these shots. Even shrimp make weird facial expressions when they're getting it on like in the last pic.lol!

If you have little shrimp, break maybe 0.5cm to 1cm of it and drop it in your tank. Once in your tank, it will slowly break apart into many many pieces.

I break off a tiny piece and drop it in. Then I watch it explode all over my tank and wonder how that tiny a piece can be so much
