I am still trying to create my own Tibees haha. I had a OEBT berry up and produce BB, Shadow Pandas, OEBT, and Pandas. I found another OEBT berried a few weeks ago, and really am hoping for some Tibees.

I just moved my 5.5 gallon tank. I drained as much water as I could and left the shrimp in it. I didnt save the old water but that's up to you. I just stuck the tank in my car and hook it up at my new place. The shrimp when in about 2 inch of water for over 3 hours and were fine, even the berried shrimp. my plants and driftwood moved a little but not too bad.

I'm beginning to find a few nice babies in the tank. Once these guys get a little bigger I'll breed them back with a nice TB male and seperate the others. I like the stripes on this little guy.

Just successfully crossed bred a galaxy tiger with a female BB wooooo!

I ordered some fancy red tibees and some spotted heads and some Ellen Wangs and just
wanted to share the pics of them as they are acclimating.
#1 my all time favourite, is this cool or what!  Many thanks to Joe Aqua Sales for his
graciousness in picking out some of the best for me.  Well packed and very healthy
even after a long trip.

You can have a cull tank if you wish for it so when you cull out juvies and later when they grow up and their color looks more to your liking you can always drop them back into the main tank! You can also add a breeder box (not breeder net) to the side of the tank if you plan on selling off culls later down the road, some people do use culls for fish foods and some do give them away as gifts to friends and some even do ROAK on the forums for shrimps! Another idea would be to see if the LFS would take your shrimp...you can maybe even work out a deal for store credit, become their shrimp supplier or just ask them to take them for free haha. =P

Mischling just means hybrid, so it can be TB mischling, Pinto mischling, .... etc.
 
They are good in producing more shrimps of higher value, so it made a lot of sense when TBs were very expensive. Also, mischling are normally of a lower form (crystal vs TB), so they are generally tougher, especially in the early stage of a new morph.
 
However, there is another aspect of it that people often overlook. It's to create different patterns. If you breed regular BKK x regular BKK, chance of getting a mosura flowerhead BKK is next to none. However, if you use mischling of different pattern, you may not get mosura or flowerhead any time soon, but you will definitely see more hinos, and then from there, you get closer and closer to mosura or flowerhead. This is really getting into the genetics, the guppy guys should get excited over this ;-)

If you like cool looking food to feed your shriml check this out, it's hans red beet and it's red leaked out all over the almond leaf. It kinda scared me at first but here's a pic of my colony today, berried female even turning for the camera.

Sure. pH isn't soo important, only if you have 1 degree of diference or more. I mesure it with my Hanna HI98130 pH/Conductivity/TDS Tester. 
 
Don't have afraid to transfer shrimps, they don't are soo fragile like people think.

Hi. I have tried Control soil a few years ago.
Uniform balls larger than ada. Nice black color. Seems lighter than ada.
Not really good for plants like ada. Cycles very quick.
Good for shrimp tanks. lasted over 2 years for me. Holds shape well..
 
But you already know which is the best soil for shrimp.

I think you can leave them.  The reason why I said no links is because there is an option in the settings where I can disallow HTML links in a groups signatures and that is easier then trying to constantly police it.  I am not sure what will happen when I turn that setting on, it may kill your links. 

So I saw this glass feeding tube setup in an LFS for shrimps.  Decided to see if I could make my own.
 
took a piece of firm tubing, cut it to fit just above the glass dish and above the water line.  Punched
a hole in the tube and fitted tightly a rubber cap to stick it to the side of the tank, and cut a V shape
in the bottom of the tubing.  You could also use the rubber straps that keep heaters attached to the side of the tanks.
 
 
Walla.....homemade feeding tube that didn't cost me more than a $1
Should be good for feeding specific powdery food like Gravidas, Bio Plus etc...which gets everywhere
and not necessarily where you want it to go.

So the expecting female mischling escaped the previous breeder box three times in the first day, so I move her to her new breeder box ;-) She got madder and madder every time I netted her back to the previous breeder box.

I stare at my tank whenever I get the chance lol. When I notice the males in my tank are going crazy I look for a female that is trying to get away from them. You'll notice that this female is particularly skittish than the rest. She usually suspend her in the roots of the water lettuce or somewhere near the surface. when I'm sure she's the one that the males is chasing I isolate her. Sometime I'm too late but most times I'm able to isolate her with the male that I like.
