What probably happened is the nitrates are so far off the chart that diluting them with the water change still gives you a high reading.
Keep doing water changes.

Would you like me to write an article about the emotional pain and trauma of having a "Tank o Death"?  hehe

The shrimp molt I witnessed took about a second or two tops.

I just saw my first molt the other day. It was crazy, I had heard it happens fast and it did.

Looking for some people who want to write articles in exchange for shrimp products . 

I hope you get a nice colony going of these guys!

Yup, I am hoping to get a rack when I move to do some selective breeding, but for now I am going to use the 2.5g and a breeder box in my 10g to selective, I will sell on here and at my lfs

Welcome I lurked for a couple weeks before joining as well.  And also had problems with my cherries mysteriously dying.  I am thourougly convinced at this point that the random deaths were casued simply from my tank not being matured.  Not that it wasnt cycled but it hadnt developed any biofilm. Patience in this hobby is probably the most important thing I am begining to learn.

Blue Bolts are coming today (finally) USPS two day priority. Shipped monday morning scheduled in yesterday (Thursday) now arriving today.  Four days in the box with a heat pack rated for 72 hours with subfreezing temperatures locally and through a large part of the path they traveled.  I am very nervous but also optimistic about how they might have fared. I know they were packed extremely well by Mayphly! I will update when I get home and open the box. Everyone please say a little prayer that my BB's made it alive!

I have faith. My BB have little S's on their chest and wear a red cape. [emoji12]
