Found this little one, it has a skull that looks like the punisher on its back sweet!!

Its amazing what happens in the animal world. I came home last night to see my gorgeous male Extreme KK freshly molted. I couple minutes later I saw the other shrimp swarming something, literally fighting over it like a pack of pirhana. Poor male KK he didnt stand a chance they ate every bit of hime within 45 minutes. There are only 7 adult shrimp in this tank, I didnt think that was possible.

The only person that ever replied to a couple posts I had on there was Shrimpy Daddy, and he has continued to help with any questions I have to this day.

From what I hear the pH should be closer to 6 to really help them show their true blue.

This is 2 gallon Aqueon Evolve brackish tank, the salinity at the moment is 1.010. there is lot of Diatoms on the rock, sand and the walls of the tank but the clean up crew are on their way to take care of the mess, few Opae ula shrimp, Pipipi snails and couple dwarf hermit crabs.

Properly acclimated shrimp should land after putting them In and just eat where they are. Any swimming around I see as stress. I always drip for 2-4 hours depending on how different the water is. Hopefully you have some luck since tap water is very unpredictable.

RO membranes need to stay moist otherwise they will be ruined. I use mine about once a week and always just leave it.

Always use a timer for lights and I add some extra leaves, and snowflake before I go out of town. Thanks with 30+ shrimps are fine for two weeks.

Only use the High PH kit if your regular PH test  reads the highest reading.     
 
Amazonia is made to buffer water to ph of 6 and below so that would be your accurate reading.
 
You can either raise your PH  with baking soda and buy a bacteria product that I mentioned in my first post and start cycling as if its a new tank  or you can get rid of the substrate and start over 
 
Or James says you can cycle at low PH but it takes a long time  (as Rye said, it took him 3 months)    
 
I am actually cycling a low ph tank right now. I am doing it by raising my PH with Baking soda.

Okay okay... So first of all. Let me thank you all for this tremendous help and advice. Its nice to see so many willing to help in such short notice. Hopefully I can make some new friends here. From what I'm gathering the PH of my tank is my biggest issue and without being able to confirm what that is at this point in time (currently in the office). I am using the API test kit so I understand I'm not getting a super accurate reading. I will test tonight and gather the results. It must be obvious to everyone that I'm new so please don't hesitate to critique. I know i'm up for a challenge with a 2.5g but I have a good friend in the area that knows his way around shrimp tanks. He didn't however consider that the PH would be a major factor in my cycle. Hopefully I can find a way to host some happy shrimp without having to start the project over. I'm very pleased with the look of my planted tank. 
 
I guess also in the worst case scenario that I wouldn't be exactly at square 1 with with a restart as I already have the sponge that has been working for a bit. 

Normal pH range with GOOD ADA Aquasoil would be around 6.
 
unless you get bad batch which won't buffer the pH to that range.
 
but in this case, it's good for you.

Ammazonia leaches ammonia for up to two months. It is just the soil, next time try Controsoil it does not have an ammonia leech or if it does its minimal.

Just got my OEBT's yesterday from Erik. Those shrimp are absolutely amazing!! He included more blues than I ordered and they are all super healthy and active. I highly recommend Erik anytime!

Sounds like a great selective breeding tank, Rye.

I would highly discourage Blue Bolts for such a small tank. TB are more delicate and from personal experience I would never attempt to keep them in anything less than 10g and that is even too small in my opinion. Neos would be fine in that size, I currently have a 1.75g tank with Sakura cherries that are thriving with a colony of about 30-40 that has been going for over a year. Every few months I cull about 10-20 for $1 each.
