I bought 10 yellow kk shrimp awhile ago and after a couple deaths i ended up with 8 males. Since breeding them is now impossible i have decided to throw these TT(or whatever they are)in with them and see what happens. Should be interesting.

No way they are hitchhikers. Could it be that tangerine tigers were used to create the pinto shrimp?

I have no idea. I have never owned a tangerine tiger before. Could they be tibee shrimp?

Actually this tank has turned into a mixed community tank. It is a very old tank that I am ready to tear down and reset. I will have to have a big sale soon. I have other tanks that I keep the pure Taiwan bees and selectively breed shrimp.

I had at least six of these shrimp pop up in my Taiwan bee tank. They are very cool. I do have an idea as to what they are but wanted to consult the shrimp community. I am guessing they come from the pinto culls I moved to this tank because they looked like regular Taiwan bees. I need to decide what to do with them because they are almost breeding age.

Shadow Panda and Blue Bolt

Their color seems to change with mood. I tried to start a extreme bb tank recently. I moved only the best ones to this tank and over the next few days their color would decrease dramatically. Once they are settled in and happy again the color would slowly return. (Very slowly) Normally you can tell at a very young age if a shrimp is a extreme bb or a shadow panda but it is true that sometimes they dont show their true colors until they start to mature. If you keep black pandas and bb together eventually all the pandas will be shadow pandas. This is what happened to me anyway. All my pandas will show at least a little blue eventually. I kinda miss the all white and black pandas now. -
That sounds terrible. Makes my own every day life problems seem insignificant. I hope you are feeling better now.

I have sold endlers before and used the exact same shipping method as I do with the shrimp. 99% of them arrived in good shape as long as there were no USPS delays or mishaps.

Problematic Tank that has Controsoil as Substrate

My controsoil tanks stay between 5.3-5.5. I have three of them set up and running great. I did have ammonia leech in the first 2 months but after that none. It seems active soil products are not very consistent. I switched to controsoil after getting a bad batch of ADA. I really thought controsoil was going to be the answer but now i am not so sure. You should not have to add peat to a tank with an active substrate. -

Come on people! You only need 15 more! I have decided to go ahead and ship Monday like I had originally planned. This way the winner will have them before Christmas. Hopefully the express shipping will get them there in good shape.

I decided to do a Christmas roak to thank everyone on The Shrimp Spot for all your support. This should be a good one. The winner will receive 12 Taiwan bee shrimp shipped for free USPS express with a heat pack to anywhere in the lower 48 states. I will send a mix including at least 2 wine reds, 2 shadow pandas, 2 blue bolts, 2 black pandas and 4 more of my choice. The winner may also choose a portion of moss to be sent with them. I have red moss, pellia, weeping moss, mini fissidens, or flame moss. I will also be adding a starter portion of bucephalandra or anubias stardust. The roak will end Sunday 12-13-15 at 6pm.
