  1. I have several of these blue shrimp show up in this last batch of pinto babies. The mother was a german red spotted and the male was a black zebra. They look like blue bolt to me. I am curious what would they be classified as. Pinto culls? Blue pinto? Most look like this guy. Looks like i got a few red zebra as well.
  2. Finally considering an active soil huh? I think you will find that you will have a much higher survival rate of baby shrimp if you do. Controsoil isnt too ugly if you like black. Especially if you add some plants and driftwood. You could go for a natural look.
  3. Still have blue bolts as well as black pandas, shadow pandas, Hino pandas and shadow hino pandas.
  4. SOLD OUT-I have three young adult male black belly pinto shrimp i want to sell. I bought these a couple months ago when they were unsexed sub-adult. I am selling them because i have too many male shrimp already. I am asking $50 each or $135 for all three. Shipping will be on Monday for $15 priority or $35 express.
  5. As far as the pintos i would prefer red zebra or spotted. I may consider spotted black if they are high quality and priced fair. The wine reds i want must be high quality shrimp i can add to my current wine reds to improve them and add genetic diversity. Please message me with pictures and prices if you have some you are willing to sell. Thank you.
  6. I bought a few from miwu awhile back and they look great. They are just starting to mature and will be breeding soon. That is a good price.
  7. I think it would depend on how many shrimp are in the tank and how well fed they are. One of my tanks has hundreds of shrimp and the dead are consumed very quickly.
  8. I love the aqua blue-green ones. They are lighter colored but some have a nice even color from head to tail.
  9. I still have lots of blue bolts for sale. Please message me if you are interested.
  10. I love to hear feedback from happy customers. It really makes my day. Thanks and enjoy!
  11. That is a very nice male mischling. Almost a wine red color. I am very interested to see how the babies turn out. Good luck!
  12. Like i said before, i guess my expectations were just too high. I am in the process of cycling three new tanks now that i will dedicate to red taiwan bees. I want to see how nice they can be and if i can get them to breed true patterns and colors.
  13. Maybe the pictures are not good enough to show my point. If you could see them in person it would be obvious that the patterns are all faulty. They cant be considered panda or lined in my opinion. I probably shouldnt say it but i believe these shrimp would have been culled from the breeding pool because of their faulty patterns. I get these shrimp once in a while in my tank and thats how i think of them. I almost didnt even say anything just to avoid confrontation and not get anyone upset over the deal. But if we continue to accept low grade shrimp without question or complaint i am sure over seas breeders will be happy to sell them to us thinking we dont know any better.
  14. I hear ya though. I realize there is a good chance the red color will improve over time. For me it is not only the red but the dense white panda pattern that make Taiwan bee wine red really special.
  15. If i wait a couple weeks the broken white patterns will go away?
  16. I got them this morning and took the pictures tonight after work.
  17. I dont want to sound like i am bashing mk-Breed or that his shrimp are all low quality. We have all seen the pictures and know his are some of the best. I guess when you put in the time and money it takes to earn a name like that even your lower quality shrimp will fetch a higher price than normal. Maybe my expectations were just too high for the money i spent and the name behind them.
  18. I just received some mk- breed wine reds and wanted to share some pictures. I have to be honest here, i am a little disappointed with the quality. I got these hoping add them to my wine reds to improve quality while introducing new blood to my colony. Well i will have new blood but these are not nearly as good as my current wine reds. It brings to mind some advice i am always giving to my children. Dont pay extra just for a brand name! Here is two of mine about the same age. Oh well, if anything i did learn two things. My own shrimp are better than i was giving them credit for and i have not been charging nearly enough for them. lol

  20. That is awesome that more and more pet stores are carrying shrimp. It is a good sign that the hobby is gaining popularity. Of course here in Iowa it is still very rare to see anything but ghost shrimp.
  21. Shadow shrimp no entry Red spotted pinto Black spotted pinto
  22. Choose controsoil unless you want to spend the first two to three months doing huge water changes to try and flush the ammonia from ada.
