My Ellen Wang blue bolt from Joe Chang just gets better. one of the nicest examples I have ever seen. Too bad I cant get a decent pic ever



Here is a "extreme" blue bolt Nick sold me last year just to demonstrate how next level the EW is. Crazy to think I had paid $15 more.

 
Been using Shrimp Daddy products for a while now. I gotta say I am AMAZED. All my shrimp look like they are covered in a sheet of ice they are so shiny. I have been keeping oebt for a couple years now and have tried countless products with them.Never have they looked even half as good as this. My royals are the same way.
 
Finally just some random pinto and tb pics. Look how glossy that pandas tail is on the sponge filter. The white and black continues to get thicker on my pintos also.

Now the tanks stabilized.
in the first week , every day , i found 3-5 dead shrimps.
Now after 2 week , srhimps are fine, i remove substrate and plants from one tanks , and i begin again with new akadama.
In the other tank now have ~100 crs.
 

Just run both at the same time for a while (maybe a month) before you remove the old one. And then keep it so you'll have something for a hospital/quarantine tank on short notice.

Finally... I setup my flashes and tripod, and tried to take some serious photos of my Red Spotted Head Pinto.

I wash my hands 4-5 times before i add in the tanks..
 
Maybe hands absorbed the chemical.
 
I tested in a bottle  , i put one red cherry and then add my had inside, then after one -two hours the srhimp was dead.
 
That hapens for 4 days...
 
Now its ok .
 
I can put my hands inside the tanks.

Hi there , 1 week before , i loose 500-600 crs shrimp from two tanks.
 
The only i done was replace the water at night.
 
I have two dogs and the mornig i put them spot on for the flea and ticks.
 
Maybe some chemical went to my hand , and when i add the water , the shrimps death .
 
 
A video when i add my hand inside the aquarium .
 
When i understand what hapen i add easy life easy filter and i save  ~100crs.
 
Now i am keeping in one tank , and in the other i change the substrate for sure.
 
So every one who have dogs be carefull... .

I am starting to selective breeding crs..
 
I have two tanks with crs.
In first one i put the shrimp that i buy, it was a-s ..
After one year , i collect crs s-ss and put them on another tank.
And i find small snowhites and sss crs .
 
Now i separately the small tank into three spaces.
One have ss with diferents paterns , other snowhite and in other sss.

And one weird...
I think is crs x rcs its only one, i never had tiger shrimp.

 

Here's a few of my pintos.

This is another myth I busted recently. Caridina Cantonesis is originated from Guangdong Province, China. Which is just next to Hong Kong (where I am living now). Over here, there are 6 months of summer per year. During summer, the temperature is constantly above 30C. Hence, here has sub tropical climate but not a temperate climate. As such, there is no way the shrimp will love cold water like people claimed. Cold water will reduce formation of ammonia but very little. Instead, higher pH will cause much more ammonia than temperature does. Cold water will highly implicate on slow hatching of shrimp eggs and also reduce population of microbes and plankton.
 
Some people claimed that warm water will cause more male to hatch, but this is a myth too. Most of my tank has equal sexual offspring, except my JRBs have more female offspring than male.
 
All of the above tested not just by me, but also a few of my friends around the world. The result is excellent. No more breeding-halt in winter. The shrimp breed like crazy and eggs hatch almost a week faster. What I suspected about this myth was spread by commercial breeder to prevent people from breeding the shrimp fast.
 
Given said that, I will not suggest everyone to turn up the temperature now. In order for higher temperature to work, the tank has to be stable and clean (not those algae plague tank). The temperature has to be increased gradually by 1C per week or 5 days.
 
Those pictures were taken when I set them up, barely any plant has grown. LOL!!!
