These guys are healthy and homebred by me. These shrimp are the result of pseudo tibee (TT x CRS) crossed with Taiwan Bees. Their colors and patterns will vary. They are part of my pinto project which I have been working on for almost a year. The majority of these are f1 and f2. The f1 females are already producing pintos. The offspring will vary from pinto patterns, TB and tibee patterns. I won't be offering these again for quite sometime. So, now's your chance to scoop some up. Feel free to contact me with any questions about these shrimp. My parameters are PH-5.3 TDS- 140-145 GH- 4-5 Temp 72 My Gallery http://www.shrimpspo...ys-shrimp-pics/ The link only works on a desktop computer. It won't work on Tapatalk. Price is $90.00 Shipping is &12.00 USPS Priority Mail (DOA Guarantee) $35.00 shipped USPS Express (DOA Guarantee) DOA guarantee will only be valid if you send me a clear picture of the dead shrimp inside the bag next to my shipping label within an hour of their arrival. This is the mother of the baby pinto. She is first generation taitibee. She's not the greatest looking female in the tank but she makes beautiful babies! I'll be moving any pinto canditates into their own tanks and whatever I need to cull from that tank will go back into my taitibee cull tank.
-
This particular shrimp came from my taitibee cull tank. I'll post a pic of the mother when I get home. The parent of the mother are described in the first post of this thread.

No special reason. Everyone I hear always crosses back to TB. Maybe better striping? Not sure.
-
DET, glad to hear things are moving along. Have you considered crossing f1 back to OEBT?
-
It's been almost a year and I think I have my first official pinto. It looks blue now and I wish and pray that it will stay blue. But, I doubt it. More than likely it'll turn black. This little guy was born today and is from the second generation.
-
DET, I know what you mean. It feels like forever sometimes. Do you have the tibee in a breeder box with the TB? I'll take a known taitibe female and place her in a box with 3-4 TB males. That usually does the trick.

Her babies hatched the other day and I was surprised with a couple bb. I crossed her back with another low grade bb and now she is curently berried again. Can't wait to see how they'll turn out. Sorry for the blurry pic.
-
That's great! You'll need some ghost bees and pumpkin shrimp to go along with that theme!!!lol!

Today the second generation was born in the yellow tank. Here is one of the babies only a few hours old. I think the yellow is going to pop on this guy when he gets bigger. I also noticed a few blueish colored babies in the tank as well. These guys never cease to amaze me!

ADA Africana - is pH of 5 going to be too low?
mayphly replied to ChadO's topic in Substrates and Water Chemistry
I have some tibee that I keep in a ph of 5.2-5.3 (pinpoint) and they breed like crazy. I'm using re-min RO and Amazonia substrate. -
With manzanita i give it a good scrub after soaking it. It helps remove any remaining bark which can end up deteriorating and dirty the water.

I think there is more to TB than we think we know. I have a harder time with my crs than with my tb. Lol!!!

I managed to cross one of my male red pintos with a female WR. The babies are a few weeks old and I can see a few mosura patterns as well. My WR is berried again. I'm working on my black pintos too. They are taking forever.[emoji13]

Please message me if you have any available. I would only need a few. [emoji4] Thanks!

What parameters are you keeping these guys in?
