  1. I'll use Excel to spot treat algae once in a while. I always follow with a water change. Excel will kill fissidens and some moss. Of course I always find this stuff out the hard way.
  2. Do you have the Orange at its brightest setting?

I also have some green tetras. You don't see those very often at the lfs. I keep the green tetras with my RCS and the shrimp do fine.

I took my daughter to get a couple of panda loaches today for her tank. I ended up getting 6 of these guys. Their color really stands out in the tank.
  6. Here's one of my extreme blue bolts munching on some food.
  7. Here is one of the two gorgeous blue bolts which I received from Miwu. They appear happy in their new home! I love the many shades of blue on it's head! There are two small marks on it's back that when viewed through my editing software appear purple. You can sort of see it in the pic near the tail. Thanks again Michael!
  8. I don't think I ever get "used to" shipping shrimp. I'm always a bit nervous until they've reached their final destination. Good luck!
  9. I use the yellow and the turn it down a bit. I was getting some algae with it turned all the way up on my 12g long tank. I'm not sure about par. There's all kinds of info about the light here http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/showthread.php?t=420457
  10. Awesome! Congratulations!
  11. I sent you a pm along with a pic of a co2 regulator that I have available.
  12. Judging by his size I think he's from the original stock. But I can't be 100% since they are breeding like crazy.
  13. Sehr schöne Garnelen! Nice to see some shrimps from Deutschland.
  14. It is a cardinal. I noticed that it's a little more active than the regular cards and likes to stay out in the open. As where the other cards like to stay near the rock crevices. I noticed the blue card doesn't have white claws like his brother and sisters and has a shorter rostrum. (mutant shrimp) It is one of the most unique cardinals I can find on the internet other than Silane's.
  15. Welcome aboard. Looking forward to hear how your project turns out. I'm in Pacifica.
  16. Great table tank! That turned out awesome! It's gonna look really nice once evrything grows out.
  17. Caught these guys today pigging out on some Omniapro.
  18. I have the BRS 5 stage which is now the BRS 6 stage. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/bulk-reverse-osmosis-filters-systems/reverse-osmosis-systems.html
  19. I have the Current Satellite Freshwater LED+ on my 12g and love it. It looks like the Pro version comes with the ramp timer. You can dim the lights via the remote to however you want your lighting. You can even program up to 4 custom light settings. It's not only for high light plants. I use it for low light moss and ferns which I have in my tank. The best part is that it has a "lightning" setting. Who doesn't want lightning in their tanks?
  20. Well... Nice to meet you neighbor. We share the same water supply which is San Andreas Lake. This is where the water from Hetch Hetchy is Stored for many of the surrounding counties. Here's my parameters for 50/50 RO and tap. Hope this helps.
  21. Looks like lace rock. Meta probably knows better than me. I'm in fog town Pacifica.
  22. Yey!!! Wow! Thanks for the great opportunity. Sending you a pm.
  23. Great RAOK! Congrats to the winner!
