Vicente Mcdonnell
Has anyone heard of selectively breeding CRS in the opposite direction for traits like greater transparency, faded color, yellow tint, increased red area vs white, etc? I guess if you breed for transparency, you get skeletons? (which are kinda cool) Everyone seems to want to breed to the grading standard (SSS/PRL). Im just wondering if you guys have heard about others setting a different/unconventional goal in breeding CRS.
countryboy12484
I believe soothing is trying to breed for more red.
OblongShrimp
There are some solid red or mostly solid red CRS out there. I wanted to try and breed the white out of my goldens so they would just have that orangey yellow color.
Soothing Shrimp
That's my goal. I have the foundation stock that took a long time to find (b-c grade), now am trying for f1s to start the project.
