Desireenfh
Hi everyone, I've been lurking the community for a little while now and finally decided to plunge in and join. Let's see, I've only recently discovered dwarf freshwater shrimp, maybe five months now and since, I've founded a relatively successful cherry tank (but honestly who couldn't?) and pearl blue tank. I'm currently in the process of setting up a new tank to try my hand at crs but that won't be for a little while as I wait for my ro system to arrive as well as figuring out which substrate to use. I'll probably be on a lot when I start my tank off since I may have a lot of questions so I hope you guys are ready to give lots of advice! Also, if anyone knows a few good breeders/sellers in Miami I would appreciate a holla since I can't seem to find anyone on my own and I'd prefer not to ship until "winter" since it's still so hot here. miwu
Welcome! By the way, I'd recommend ADA Amazonia substrate if you're having your first try at CRS. It should be the easiest, and you can start experimenting with other types once you have some success. Good luck

DETAquarium
Welcome , we are glad to have you. I live in South Georgia. If you can't find breeders in Miami, in would be a quick commute from me to you via USPS Priority.
Soothing Shrimp
Welcome! Honestly, shipping from most of the continental US should be fine to you. I know ravensgate is having a good sale in the market section right now, and Deta may be the closest. Lots of people to choose from here. Desireenfh
Thanks so much for the welcome guys. I'll admit it can be a bit intimidating joining an already established community especially when I'm as shy as I am..well, initially anyways. Thanks for the recommendation on substrate miwu, it's what I was thinking of anyway, just needed that push. I'll be sure to check them out soothingshrimp! I picked mine up out in San Fran Cisco at Aqua Forest on a business trip out there. I hope to have a colony of Blue Bolts going strong by this time next year. Thanks for the welcome! It's really annoying how much shipping is for that darn soil. By the new year I should have maybe two more tanks up. Let's see how everything goes.
