randy
GH question: Is it the coloration of the remineralizer? No.
randy
Okay.... here is what Max encouraged me to do to make a point. I left the voice recording as the conversation is important. I will add subtitle when I have time. That tank probably is worth over 10 grand or more....and he encouraged me to do this.... Mixing substrate in Max Wei’s PRL tank: http://youtu.be/XK4x95ni9Zc And I was taught a few thinga like this from these breeders. randy
The link is now fixed. Max was trying to prove a point that if your tank is stable enough it can take some beating.... DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME (in your tank). And I'm going to bed for real now ;-) h4n, davesays, DETAquarium and 1 other

woopderson
Holy! I'm curious to know about what they are using for filtration. It looks like it could be sponges prefiltering canisters?

DETAquarium
I agree 100%, I actually didn't make this big of a mess, but when I removed the moss from my TB tank and PRL tank it kicked up a ton of debris which included a good bit of substrate. r45t4m4n
you can get high when sniffing one whereas the other one does nothing ? (thus all the high breeders...) one evaporates faster than the other? Like alcohol vs water? a seal (stamp/logo) to denote organic product, like the black cock on chianti wine. miwu
Noo! Missed all the fun this morning! Okay.... here is what Max encouraged me to do to make a point. I think I've heard that you can stir up the substrate regularly to avoid buildup of harmful substances. Shrimps gather and pick at the substrate after you do that too. But what you did in that video was a bit drastic compared to what I'm talking about lol, so maybe there was another point. It's nice to hear your fluent Taiwanese conversation haha!
