woopderson
Got a Nikon D5200 on boxing day, just using the kit lens (18-55mm). I know i need a tripod and a macro lens, but the pics are decent. Also spotted a heavily preggers Blue Bolt! Also, flash makes the shrimp freak out, makes for funny pictures mayphly, Shrimpie, randy and 2 others

Shrimpy Daddy
I took a few pics using the "auto" function of my D80. Hi mayphly, Just a curious question. Are you using a flash mounted on top of you camera?
mayphly
Hi mayphly, Just a curious question. Are you using a flash mounted on top of you camera? Usually I do not. I think the pics I just posted have the auto flash as well as this one. I have an external flash that I would like to mount above the tank and try with a trigger. Shrimpy Daddy
Yeah, I was thinking how come you have a strong light source coming from the front. If you mount the flash at the top, your photo will be great.
mayphly
Most my pics have only the tank lights coming from above with no additional flash. Maybe I'll try and get some shots in today with the external flash mounted above.

Shrimpy Daddy
Yes, I do. Usually, I use very low flash power and highly diffused the light. Hence, it has to work with aquarium lighting to create a soft light. Soft light will prevent the top of the shell too bright and the bottom is too dark. mayphly

EbiBunBun
Finally got some good shots of my Pumpkin female. She had another molt and is getting so big. But no berries yet. And if you blow them up you can see her shiny shell! I'm a proud shrimpy mama =) Rodan76 and mayphly

Rodan76
Even though my wife thoroughly dislikes my shrimp keeping she did however find it in her Heart to make me this Xmas ornament. I think she's coming around... Don't laugh. She won't even look at them up close because they gross her out so I think this rendition serves from memory [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk woopderson, metageologist, Shrimpie and 4 others
