Soothing Shrimp
I'm actually wondering if the brown is a layer of red and a layer of black that causes the color, since pbl doesn't seem to display this. (?)

Elo500
There is currently a discussion about this on a facebook group. They said the Browns come from mixing the CRS and cbs. Prl are considered pure because they were never mixed with cbs so will not through Browns or blonds. Someone commented that a few american breeders are purposely breeding the brown strains. No names mentioned.
