WaterBugg Posted March 9, 2015 Report Share Posted March 9, 2015 Yeah I work at petsmart and sadly they don't tell you anything about the animals your selling you pretty much have to figure it out all in your own to tell people positive Idand accurate information and a majority of your information comes from customers who have been doing this kind of stuff for years or amazing forums like these But my dad has successfully raised at least 1 ghost shrimp in his tank on accident (he had 5 then about 5 monthes later found a 6th one) and they were from Petsmart so as long they ship the same shrimp to all locations they should be fresh water breeders Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

aquariumlover10 Posted March 9, 2015 Report Share Posted March 9, 2015 Yup, I got a ghostie as my first shrimps , too. I am pretty sure those baby shrimps need brakish water to survive. BTW, this forum, like many others, does rotate pics; not sure how to fix that. They can breed in FW, just they need alot of micro scopic food which mean a tank absolutely full of plants.
