Soothing Shrimp
Has anyone bred Limnopilos naiyanetri (micro crab)?
countryboy12484
Ive kept them.. But never bread them... I have read that the secret to keeping the larva alive hasnt been figured out... Soothing Shrimp
I'm very seriously looking at buying a bunch to see if I can unlock the breeding code.
RyeGuy411
I would imaging they are naturally found in brackish water environments. The breeding secret is probably similar to Amano shrimp, and I assume they have a larval stage as well that is difficult to feed. But im sure you can do it Bryce. Soothing Shrimp
LOL You have more faith in me than I have, my friend. Still, it may be worth a try. RyeGuy411

TheGardenofEder
When I first came apon them someone said they were breeding them with blue velvets. That was going to be what I did with them and just leave them. Soothing Shrimp
Soothing Shrimp
I've ready very few accounts of successful breedings. Would you please pm me this person's contact info, do I may inquire more?
Spialz
I remember hearing about someone successfully breeding them, but not being able to raise them past their larval stage. Sounds like a fun challenge. It would be cool if everyone on here could work together to unlock the secret. Soothing Shrimp
Soothing Shrimp
Perhaps we should start a microcrab research project thread here that people could join and share their findings?
Spialz
Sounds like a great plan. You've got me reading about these little guys and they are very interesting. I think I'm gonna get some of them too. Haha. Soothing Shrimp

Soothing Shrimp
Rachel is a well respected seller of fish, and is one of the only people to report successful breedings. I hesitate to say they bred in her tank(s) because she imports them to sell.
