Charis
Has anyone shipped or received shipped crayfish? Can they be shipped in a Kordon bag? Or do they poke through? I don't have any experience sending or receiving them, and yet I see them listed on aquabid... so it must be possible. I'd love to learn a little more! TheGardenofEder
I deal with crays all the time. I use two breather bags wrapped in newspaper. gillznglass, Soothing Shrimp and Charis
Charis
Great! Thanks! Any idea what temperature ranges and shipping length they can tolerate?
TheGardenofEder
I just try and keep them below 80 in the summer and if it's freezing where I'm shipping them off I use a heat pack. I use priority 2 day usps. Charis
jumpsmasher
Depends on the species but I notice my mini blue crayfish seems to enjoy cooler temperatures, I received mine in the middle of winter without heat packs and they were fine. They were in standard breather bags. You can double bag them to be safe but than again I only had dwarf crayfish. For larger quantities I do notice that they stuff the bag full of plants or filter wool to prevent from fighting.
