Soothing Shrimp
I 've had that happen. I picked up an old clunker 55g someone had out for the garbage. Cleaned it, filled it and it was fine...for almost a year. Soon the dried out silicone separated and it leaked several gallons on the floor. I just threw it out. It was one of those old really heavy ones anyway.

shamedic
ok so I got my TDS and master test kit I still need GH and KH test PH 7.3 ammo 0 nitrite 0 nitrate0 and TDS 230 out of the tape its 150ish is my TDS to high for cherry's and will water changes help lower it or a good cleaning of my FX6s? RO water will not work for me I don't know where I would get 240gallons of it lol or would I want to
dr0p
Your cherries should love those params. Once you get the gh/kh test kit you will know for sure, but from your readings so far, they should thrive. Soothing Shrimp
shamedic
even with the TDS so high? how does TDS work tap water from the sink is 150 aquarium is 230 do you want high TDS from any resin
RyeGuy411
Cherry shrimp are fine in TDS up to 300 and even higher. If your TDS is 150 from the tap and 230 in the aquarium something in your tank is adding to your TDS.
shamedic
Only thing in the tank is drift wood that has slate on the bottom and sand. in the filtrer there is purigen , rings that's it
