fishlover
Came across this picure at Silane Shrimp's Face Book. What a beautiful shrimp! Anyone has idea of how to create this line? My understanding is KK is mutation from CRS/CBS. How can a yellow shrimp can be mutated from red/white/black......And orange eye...... Any comment appreciated! monty703
Im not sure how this came about, but the orange eye can be a recessive gene (my thinking is there is tiger in there somewhere) Here is a pic of my white tiger with orange eyes...its not sick! It was born from a cross of OEBT x CWB (crystal white bee) which has no red pigment, and is often used to create unique marked shrimps. Blue Jelly is one done in Germany. JamesHe
YKK is not KK at all. Just name it that way. nothing to do with KK. Soothing Shrimp
Soothing Shrimp
James is correct. It's a cross.

If they are not King Kong (Taiwan Bee), what are they? Has OEBT gene?

Some people suspects that it's extreme Tangerine Tiger or TT cross TB. But the breeder (Ellen Wang) never tells. and I remember one member in this forum duplicates it with Tanngerine mix with TB Golden Eye YKK is mutation from regular YKK. Greenteam
They don't look drastically different from Yellow Neos. I figured that's why it's not as popular or as high price demanding as other unique TB patterns.

I do have a the opportunity to see a real one in person. However from the picture, the depth of yellow is deeper than yellow neos and their legs are yellow while noes's legs are white. How much is the chance is to obtain a golden/yellow eye mutated from regular eyes?
JamesHe
it depends how many shrimp you keep. pretty much the chance is very low.
