Twister54
Hi, I brought a couple of new cherries at the weekend, my LFS had them a stock of mixed grades. I got lucky with one as it's a lovely color. I think it's a male and am planning to put it with a couple of my females that aren't berried yet. I'm not 100% sure it's a male though. I was wondering if anyone can help identify it's sex?
DETAquarium
I would suggest a female. It is hard to see but I faintly see something that resembles a saddle. Also the abdomen looks like it is starting to round, another clue is very few males have this intense coloration, though it maybe possible just few and far between. Faralon
Agree, appears Female. Looks to be a nice Fire and/or Painted Fire Red with the legs looking to be solid red. If you can't see light shining thru the shell, and its looks opaque, seems to be a nice Painted Fire Red girl if so.

Twister54
Great, thanks! My current ones are a much lower grade, so it's easier to see the saddle, found it much harder to tell with this one!
